45-60 min, 4x a week. I also walk/push a stroller to and from the gym, about 25 min each direction.

Odd sizes are juniors. Lots of women have commented that they wear 5/7/9, which are junior sizes.

Womp womp canadian! Hahaha. Today I almost gave a talking-to to a guy who got an attitude with me for finishing my set after he invaded my space. I was resting between my 2nd and 3rd sets of split squats and he walked up, addressed the guy next to me (ignoring me) and asked for a tool I'd pointed out to the first guy 10…

Panache is expensive, but worth it. I have a couple of their wireless sports bras and they're more supportive than my regular, wired daily bras. Just beware the bands run small and you may want to size up a bit.

A few days ago I called out a guy who left 300 lb on the bar and a kid-you-not-puddle of sweat on the bench, and he later came over to apologize. Saw him again today and he's sweating like crazy again and wandering around doing a loose circuit, I guess? That or he didn't learn from being embarrassed the other day. Anyway,…

My last workout of my deload week got delayed by sick kid (I swear it's neverending) so I threw in the last bit of deload as accessory work today. 50 min stroller walk to/from the gym. Those hills certainly wake my glutes up. Squats 5/5/5@ 105/120/135. I've gone 30 lb heavier before but today my energy felt low and I was a…

I was a serious dancer in high school and college. I heard a lot about needing to lose weight (from my teacher, not my parents--I was in a healthy weight range for my height but not ballerina skinny) but nothing about how to do it healthily. I had no idea how many calories you needed to fuel 3+ hours of intensive dance…

Deload day 3. Deadlifts felt ridiculous. Deadlifts 5/5/5 @ 65/85/95 Squats 8/8/8 @ 80 Good mornings 5/5/5 @ 45 (empty bar--OMG my hamstrings are still crying) Lat pulldowns 8/8/8 @ 60 Seated ab twists with 20 lb KB 12 per side x3

Not stupid. I ignored a sore heel for months (that WAS stupid) and it turned out it was a broken heel with a side of plantar fasciitis. I was in a boot for 3 months and almost clumped down the aisle in my sexy orthopedic boot.

Deload week, with what feel like silly light weights, but it's probably good for me. Yesterday: Walked to/from the gym (about 50 min round trip) Squats 5/5/5 @ 60/80/95 Deads 5/5/5 @ 75 Bulgarian split squats w/ 10 lb weight 3 sets of 12 per leg One arm KB swing 4x10 per arm with 20 lb KB Good mornings (no weight, just a…

I'm 5'4" and was really happy with how I looked at 125.

Ah, did not realize this wasn't your first. Totally agree about focusing on bonding, recovery, and sleep in the early days! And if you're able to BF (I had major supply issues so it didn't work out for me), by all means get that well established. At least the time off means you might get to experience the noob gainz again!

If you have a lot of scar tissue you may be limited in how much you can "tone." I've heard massage may be helpful in breaking up scar tissue to make it lay a little flatter, but that's anecdotal (I don't have studies to link to). That said, weight work will help rebuild your core strength which is a good idea as long as…

I have known girls/women who were very, very thin who were still basically straight up and down from shoulders to hips with no indent at the waist. They were dancers and had very low bodyfat. Some women are just not hourglass shaped at any weight.

Just a thought, it may be worth waiting to see how you feel post-pregnancy to decide. Our bodies change a lot in the months of carrying and then through delivery and PP recovery. You'll have to see how everything feels afterward to see if the running is too much at that point.

I usually have 1-2 days where mine is super heavy and I have intense backaches and cramps. I usually don't go to the gym on those days, because I can't handle heavy squats with heavy flow (yuuuuck), or if I feel super motivated I'll do a lower intensity upper body day. If I can't, I'll switch my workout days around and…

Do you know which foods you find most satiating? I find fat satiating so I eat foods high in fat and protein for most of my day. Some people find potatoes very satiating. Others love huge salads. Find the food that satiated you and eat more of that.

I set it down next to me and use wireless headphones so there's no cord to contend with. I use an app to track my workout so I need it handy.

Being a caregiver is extremely hard, and doubly or tripl-y so when you have a strained or difficult relationship with the person in your care. When you've spent your life bending over backwards to accommodate someone who doesn't appreciate or reciprocate your efforts, it can be galling to have everyone telling you to suck…

Last 5/3/1 before deload week, and I'm ambivalent about the deload. It's my 6th week on this variant of Wendler so I know I'm due, but I don't have the same cumulative that I built up on SL. Probably best to take one, though the numbers seem ridiculously low given that my 1 RM are not super high. So anyway, today was OHP…

Note to self: If you're going to start walking the hilly couple of miles to the gym before your workout (with 30 lb toddler in stroller), bring liquid chalk on deadlift days. My hands were so sweaty! On the plus side, I was plenty warmed up and could go straight to the bar. Deadlifts 5/3/1+ (5 total) @ 125/140/155 Squats…

I've never considered plastic surgery for anything until I had my daughter and surveyed the damage. I am actually tempted to go for a boob lift when all is said and done.
