Good news about your shoulder! Hope it stays healthy and comfy. Squeezed in a very quick workout today. I'm so rushed lately, I couldn't fit in any row variants today but I got squats and bench in. Squats 5*5 @ 110, felt very good Bench press 5*5 @ 65

Nice bench, hanlonsk! I keep forgetting to come back and update. I can only get in about twice a week so my progress isn't amazing, but I do what I can. Today: Squats 5*5@100 Bench 5*5@65 Tuesday Squats 5*5@95 OHP 3*5@55 (? Can't actually remember. Just know I cut down reps because I've got a cranky shoulder) Deadlifts…

Working out consistently with two little ones is hard. Baby has been in a developmental leap all week so she's been basically colicky 24/7, husband was out of town for 5 days, and 3 year old was being very 3. I blame them all 😛 I did make it in on Thursday. Squats 5x5 @ 70 OHP 5x5 @ 50 Deadlifts....supposed to be 1x5 @…

I don't remember if I posted my last workout last week, but here's today's: Squats 5x5 @ 70 BP 5x5 @ 50 (no fractional plates, so I'll try out two sessions at the same weight before bumping up 5 lbs) Seated rows 3x10 @55

Hi, I'm just returning to powerlifting after having baby #2 about 3 months ago. It was my second C-section, so I'm starting basically from scratch running SL 5x5 again. Hoping to do a PL competition in the next year! And to ditch the baby weight... That bit is slow right now. Feel free to add me!

Squats 5x5 @ 65 Ohp 5x5 @ 50 DL 1x5 @ 95 10 min elliptical

@lkpducky I mean idk why you wouldn't remember that an internet stranger was having a baby...lol I kid! Thank you and thank you. It's humbling to have to start from scratch, but my abs will need some time to reorganize themselves so I'm just working my way back up a few lbs at a time. Really hoping to do a powerlifting…

Hiiiiiii....been a while. I just started back to working out last week, 10 weeks postpartum after C-section #2! Baby girl is great and the CS went fine. I had to stop lifting during my second trimester due to pelvic and hip pain, so I've been out for quite a while. Starting from scratch with SL 5x5 and looking forward to…

I am a licensed professional therapist. I see a lot of projection on your part.

OP, losing .5-1 lb a week is not your body "having none of it." That's a reasonable and sustainable rate of loss! It sounds like you just need a little more adjustment of your expectations, and possibly that diet break that others have suggested.

You said the holter monitor picked up an arrhythmia of some sort? I wonder if it's Wolff-Parkinson-White or something like that (extra electrical pathway in the heart). My younger sis had it and didn't know until one day she had sudden chest pain and went to the ER. They did a catheter ablation to burn out the extra…

Pretty meh workout, but better than nothing. Hip pain continues and likely won't get better until after delivery, so continuing to work around it. 17 weeks pg and still going! Upper body day! I wanted to do bench press but the two benches were in constant use today. Upper body day: Bench press 5/3/1+ (2) @ 70/75/80 OHP 5/5/5 @ 57/62/67 Seated rows 10/10/10 @ 70 Triceps cable pulldowns 10/10/10 @ 30 Facepulls 10/10/10 @ 40/45/45 I had to modify my arch some because my SI joints are constantly irritated, and a big arch makes them super inflamed. So tiny baby just-to-recruit-the-lats…

Heeeeeyyyyy long time no post. I've been to the gym somewhat sporadically and haven't bothered to post because it was so inconsistent. But I had good reason....cause you know, morning sickness really does a number on your energy and motivation. So, I'm 14 weeks pregnant and finally starting to regain a little energy.…

Hi OP! Therapist here. First, I want to commend you on being open about how you're feeling and asking for help. I'm sorry your current therapist may not be a good fit. If this is overstepping, I apologize, but I wanted to offer a couple thoughts for your consideration: 1) Another poster stated that sometimes it takes a…

NY & Co makes button up shirts with a lot of stretch in them. Have you tried those?

@krokador I'm sorry about your head! Hope you feel better soon <3

Did some skwaats today, complete with my Mother's Day gift of a lifting belt. I didn't lift super heavy but it did feel easier to stay solid in the core, which is always good. Squats 3/3/3 @ 110/125/140 Sumo DL 6/6/6 @ 130 KB swings w/ 30 lb KB 12/12/12 Weighted step ups 16/16/16

I feel you on being derailed by dad-related stuff. When my dad was in the hospital and when he died, the gym was not even on my radar. It was good to go back when I could, but sometimes life just happens and stuff gets shuffled aside. I hope things settle for you soon.

Yay for lifting! And Boo for moving, that always sucks. I never feel more materialistic than when I'm trying to pack everything and wondering where the kitten it all came from. Would be interested in the reading you mentioned about eating to support lifting. I'm trying to lose weight again after being stuck for many months…

Wow, we really are quiet in here this month. Was my pun game that weak? I've only gotten in a couple workouts this week but I made it today. I have PCOS with IR and hypothyroid. Charliebeansmom was correct in what she said about needing to be in a deficit to lose weight. That is true no matter how many carbs you eat or what health conditions you have. No deficit, no weight loss. There is no need to be rude when she is trying to be helpful. She was also correct…

Well, we had half a day of sunshine....now it's getting ready to rain again. It's rained every single day since last Tuesday. But the nice weather kept people out of the gym, so yay for me. I took most of last week off and did a diet break, which felt very nice. Getting back to deficit and all that this week. I did some…
