  • It is a beautiful dress on a beautiful new you. I agree with one of the poster's, there are beautiful sashes with a little bling on them that would I think make this lovely dress even more spectacular. If not bling, a fresh flower(s) that match or coordinate with your bouquet would I believe, make it look awesome!…
  • Having friends on MFP is the best of motivators. Feel free to add me, but since I'm almost 66 you may want to stick within your age range more or less. Newbys should connect just from this thread alone! Best of luck everyone! This is a great site that WORKS, BUT YOU MUST BE HONEST with your food diary. :flowerforyou:…
  • I've lost all of my weight entirely walking, not on a treadmill mind, out in the great outdoors, rain or shine, wind, snow and hail. A treadmill would have been most welcome on the wind warning day of which we are under for the next few days! Get walking, watch your intake and you will succeed. :flowerforyou:
  • So glad they finally found out what was wrong with you and glad that you are now on the mend. You look fantastic, way to go.

  • I'm 5.8 1/2" started at 210 and am down to 157 where after Christmas, the scale does not want to budge an iota! Sorry, loading pictures looks impossible, but I can tell you I wore size 16 pants and am now down to a size 9 clingy, skinny jeans and even they are a getting a little loose at the waist! Also, I'm almost 66. I…
  • Way to go!:flowerforyou:
  • Ice, stretch (cautiously), ice some more repeat several times a day! (Thanks to my physiotherapist this worked wonderfully well for me!) Good luck.
  • Big obvious difference. You've faced your challenges and didn't give up. A true MFP-er if ever there were one. Congratulations and Merry Christmas.
  • I'm 65 and have lost 52 pounds. The weight drop has slowed down considerably, but I keep trying. It's never too late to get healthy and fit.
  • Oh my gosh, it's a huge change. Your Husband is right, you are losing, here, you are losing there, and your scale proves the point! Way to go, looking forward to seeing your next "changes". Work it girl!
  • Most definitely see a big difference. Congratulations and keep it up, you'll be posing and smiling even more than in the last picture!
  • Would you believe just yesterday my Doc. told me I have it in my left knee? He told me to switch up my exercise from only walking, which we did at least 6 times a week to swimming and cycling. Going to go to a physiotherapist on Monday (I hope to anyway) see what they say. You sound like your's is worse than mine. Let's…
  • I asked my Doc recently what a good weight be for me. He checked my BMI, which has a range. If I were you, I'd check that out to see where you fit in in your weight to height ratio and not go below what is suggested. Hope that helps.
  • Somewhere between an elephant's heart and a bale of hay!
  • I hear you. I'm in the same boat. 15 to lose and nada! Our bodies, I believe are readjusting to another new reality and it will happen. I'm giving myself 5 pound increments towards the final goal of 15 instead of seeing it as the big picture. Wishing you well. And hey, inches lost-WIN!!!
  • That was a green eyed monster response to your obvious weight loss! Way to go.
  • I love to bring orange segments with approx. tbsp. of choc. chips. A nice quiet and tastey snack. My husband loves this combo also!
  • For the first time in I don't know how many years-no, no, no, no, no!
  • Oh ya! Langley, BC, presently hovering at Zero with snow on the ground. 11 Grandchildren and 3 daughters, 2 of whom are on here and doing splendidly. On Wednesday, I'll have been on here for a year. Feel free to add me!
  • Congratulations Allyson (that's my spelling too!!), babies don't always come when the timing's right, but somehow or other it all works out! Double congratulations actually, on weight loss and good health too!
  • My husband and I walk 4 to 5 miles a day, 6 days a week for exercise. These walks will often include a trip to the bank, drugstore, a cup of coffee, veggie market, bakery, doctor and dentist, restaurants and movie house. Usually just take the car for grocery shopping, church and for visiting family. We are fortunate that…
  • Find some different sized boxes (from around the house) a cereal box, a jello box, a shoe box, for example. Wrap up the card and put it inside the box and wrap the box, makes it fun. If you want, add a jingle bell inside, a pinecone, or something to give it weight to throw the person off. We've had many inspirations in our…
  • Feel free to add me too! I'm 64 have been on here for 300 days as of today. I'm 5.8 1/2, and am slowly wending my way down to 150! You have most definitely come to the right site. I have 2 daughters on here, so I think it's great that you are doing this with your mom as well!
  • Oh you've motivated me to lose that extra 18! I'm also 5' 8.5". I sure want to look as wonderful as you. Congratulations on all of your dedication and work day by day by day!
  • As many said, yes, save some calories to take with the meds and do be sure to have "probiotic yogurt" in your diet while you are on the antibiotics. I didn't know I was supposed eat yogurt until about the 4th day in on intravenous antibiotics and I paid the price. You are doing marvellously well. Keep up the good work! :-)
  • You are amazing! Way to go, just know you will meet that goal weight. Truly an inspiration.

  • Don't worry about it! Before you started this journey, the one we share with you, you quite likely wouldn't have even given any of it a second thought. Today, you are thinking about it. It's a process, a long and slow one. So forgive yourself. Keep going and it will all be rewarding in the end! Promise. I've been on this…
  • That is so awesome. What a wonderful "reward" for your caring for you! Sure hope you get your own segment.
