  • Yup! Its that simple :) Deliciousness has no calories!
  • 5'5" weighed 156 lbs this morning with a 30" waist. around 14% BF, so theres so way to go on the BF and waist measurement.
  • Awesome post! Very well said!
  • Microwaving it is really easy, you wont get the nice roasted flavour, but it still works. You need to stab a bunch of holes on either side and then toss that sucker in the microwave for 10-15 minutes based on your microwave. I recommend checking on it every 5 just in case. When the sides are soft or the squash starts…
  • The general rule as I understand it is you should have 0.5 ounce of water per lean lb of body weight. If you are active then you should increase that number up to 1 ounce of water per lean lb of body weight.
  • 21 Years old! Feel free to add me! I keep an open diary!
  • Your TDEE is your required caloric intake to remain at your current weight based off of your current activity level and BMR. Since your BMR is what you need to live, you need to factor that number up to reach your TDEE. If you are using your TDEE - 20% to lose weight you are essentially using your (BMR + Calories burned) -…
  • Cauliflower rice is a pretty good substitute for rice, if you prepare it correctly (right amount of processing). I don't find it as filling or satisfying as just eating rice, but I know some people that find it a perfect sub. I have never tried substituting with any other rice subs.
  • Edmonton!
  • I've felt this exact same thing from time to time. Honestly, you just have to realise that you've come so far and that the "end" is in sight. There will be a point where you hit a weight or body comp that you're really happy with and that motivates you to get up for that morning workout. I suggest that you try to eat…
  • Honestly, you just need to exercise at some point during the day. Whatever is most comfortable for you. Either way you likely wont see significant gains during Ramadan, but it is still important to lift weights. so you don't experience too much muscle atrophy throughout the month. I personally prefer to exercise before…
  • I have several friends and family who are type 1 and 2 diabetics. Both have actually seen improvement in their diabetic condition (lower blood sugar levels, fewer spikes, etc). If you are a Type 1 diabetic you need to fast with a doctor's supervision and if the doctor deems it unhealthy to go without insulin throughout the…
  • I'm 5'5", eat between 1800-2400 daily. 1800 no exercise, 2400 when I lift. I eat back more calories when I also do cardio. My average weight loss has been between 1.5-2 lbs over the passed 5-6 months.
  • Pizza!! I used to love chowing down on saucy, cheesy, meat covered pizza. Now I can't even think about eating it. I honestly struggle to let myself eat out at restaurants in general as well. I always think that I can make the same meal for half the calories and the same flavour at home, so why bother, eh? I still love me…
  • I love eggs! But I do typically add extra egg whites to my eggs for the extra protein without the extra calories. Note: I think yolks are extremely healthy and I will still eat them, but I think 4-5 whole eggs in one meal is just overdoing it, so I opt out of 3 of the yolks! Super tasty tho. I've been using them a lot in…
  • I used to always struggle with the evening and nighttime munchies. I found that doing a quick 5 k run in the evening or after work helped me curb my appetite and keep my goals in sight. The other benefit is that the run allows me to eat another small snack while still being within my daily calorie allowance. When in doubt,…
  • It really depends on how much coffee you're drinking. If you're trying to scale back I dont recommend doing it cold turkey. Just remember, the caffeine in the coffee has been shown in several studies to assist in increasing your metabolism. Also, I'd suggest staying away from something sugary like coconut water. Too much…
