  • Great job! Your legs look amazing! :) Gives me hope for mine... they're really muscular but I'm hoping they even out proportionally as I continue my journey.
  • I'm confused... did you say you weigh 140 currently? That's my ultimate goal! I don't understand how you can consider yourself hideous, disgusting and nauseating... I love myself more now at 178 than I ever thought I would (coming from a max of 210), and I'm nowhere near my goal. I think you have some serious body image…
  • Oh man... when my husband and I started dating, he was 5'8" and weighed 117- we were in high school. I was 5' and about 160... and only ballooned up to 200 when I got comfortable with him (it helped knowing that he preferred a little meat on a girl's bones). It was weird at first... after all... how would we ever play a…
  • Soooo... like wouldn't your bottom fall off? lol... that's a silly thing to want!
  • I must work at the weirdest place ever. I think I may be the only "normal" one... although they probably think I'm weird. I work in a graphic design office with 3 guys who constantly talk about and draw boobs and/or phallic symbols on stuff, and two of them like to fill us all in when they get laid. The newest member of…
  • Yeah... I don't know. I just know I was mortified when I read the label in my Reebok running leggings... a US size Large is equal to a 4XL in Japan. I guess all that tells me is that if I ever travel to Japan, I shouldn't expect to do any clothes shopping! I'm 5'1", 175 pounds. My collar bones show... and I'm definitely…
  • oh gawd... I just plugged my face into some website to match me with celebrities... Apparently Tyra Banks, Bill Clinton and I all share 70% of the same facial features! Bahahaha!
  • a waist is a terrible thing to mind... everyone is built differently so it's kind of odd to compare... I'm 5'1", 177 pounds. My waist is 34"...
  • Wow... when I was a freshman in high school... I could bench my weight. 145. And I'm a girl. Now, I'd probably be lucky to do 100, but I haven't tried a straight-up bench in a while.
  • Hi. Have you asked him for your support? Sometimes, men can just be plain dense. :) If he doesn't realize you need encouragement, he probably won't give you any. I actually had a weird problem with my husband at first... he likes the extra "fluff" because it's soft and squishy. Ha! But I think I've finally gotten him to…
  • Sign up for a 5k! I just started running in March, and I've done 5 5k's so far this summer... and I love them! It sucks a little while you're doing it (why the hell am I doing this?!?! kind of feeling), but when you're done, it feels so great to know you did it! Having an event on the calendar keeps me going out for my…
  • I tried some of those Under Armour undies... not the thongs but the "cheeky" ones... and I was actually disappointed for the first time ever in UA. They claim one size fits "athletes"... my bum must not be athlete enough because they were too tight and kept rolling down on the sides. I had high hopes for them too! I tend…
  • 5'1" Highest: 210 Start: 194 Current: 177 Goal: 145 ish
  • Wow. Think of wedding vows... "for better or for worse". He can't even commit to asking you to marry him in a not-so- terrible time... he's not worth it! You deserve much better than this jerk- no matter how sweet he seems sometimes.
  • :) This! Not so much falling off of things... but I work out with a trainer (who is adorable, petite and gorgeous, of course), and it's always so awkward when she's holding my feet for sit ups or something and I get that gassy feeling... I've yet to actually audibly let one go during a workout, but it's bound to happen…
  • Would be beautiful with a smile on her face! :)
  • From what I understand, the artificial sweeteners in diet sodas are essentially sugar molecules that are modified on the molecular level. They somehow replace a single molecule of one element on the end of the molecular chain with another, leaving the majority of the compound alone. Because it's really similar to sugar, it…
  • In the last month and a half or so, I'm down about 15 pounds. But i really ramped up my efforts by running 15+ miles per week, strength training once a week and tracking everything I eat. If I don't do all of these things, I'm lucky to lose anything in a month! I also started going to a chiropractor at about the same time…
  • I honestly really like Under Armour for my workout stuff... if I can get it from the outlet for cheap! They seem to fit well and they're comfy, and they hold up nicely. I also have lots of stuff from Old Navy and Target too!
  • Lol... I guess I've lost a bald eagle that just ate a guinea pig... :)
  • Any time for a 5k is better than not doing one! :) I have run 5k's the last two weekends, and I have another this weekend. I finished the first in 0:36, the second in 0:34 (which was much hillier than the first), and I'm shooting for 0:33 this weekend! Granted, I'm a 5'1" woman with super short legs, but I weigh around 180…
  • yum! Please come cook for me!
  • To build on my last comment... I think it's important to replenish your body after a strenuous workout, especially with protein and some complex carbs to boost up your sugars and keep the metabolism going. Sooo.... to answer your question... both!?!? :)
  • Hi there. I too am a relatively new runner. I don't run in the morning (nobody could drag me out of bed early enough to go before work!), I run after work, but I find that if I'm hungry while I'm running, I don't perform as well and the run feels harder. Usually I grab a banana quick for a boost of energy, and that gets me…
  • ^ Yup. Pretty sure broth is water flavored with salt. Salt= water retention. Not only that, weight fluctuates by the hour! It's silly to weigh yourself more than once a week.
  • Honestly... I still haven't seen a change! But I can feel it... my pants are fitting looser and I can wear t-shirts I haven't worn for years. I've been working out with a personal trainer once a week for about a year, and I've lost a few inches and several body fat percentages, but I wasn't seeing the results I wanted.…
  • Ha ha, glad it's not just me! :) I live in Green Bay- generally people tend to be friendlier around here. It's a bit strange... I run with my dog, and while he's not ferocious or even scary looking (he's a basset hound/dachshund mix), he definitely scares people if he doesn't like them! I don't run with headphones in…
  • I too am a vegetarian, and EVERY WEDNESDAY at work between Memorial Day and Labor Day we have a lunch cookout. People are asked to bring in dishes to pass (we've got about 120 employees, and 20 are asked each week to contribute). I get a lot of flack for not eating the burgers (and get made fun of for the alternate burgers…
  • Weight fluctuates by the hour! It's all in how much water you drink, as well as how much food you've eaten, and then when you weigh yourself. My suggestion is to weigh yourself once a week at the most, and always at the same time of day.
