The scale wasn't moving for me so I gave up on weighing. I definitely look smaller and my stomach looks smaller, plus I feel a zillion times better which is enough to keep me going. Oh brilliant, well done! I've still not had sugar either and don't even want it. Went to a work event yesterday and there was so much wine but I felt like having sparkling water with a slice of lime. I went to a vegan festival today where there was free food galore, lots of vegan cakes, chocolate etc but I wasn't even tempted! Hey @tolkienite! Feel free to do whatever works for you. We are on day 22 today, depending on timezone (I think). I'm not sure what's going to happen in November. I have a few birthdays and so presume I will eat sugar on the special occasions, but otherwise I defo want to continue being sugar free! Welcome! :)

I always find it so interesting when some people on these boards try to say there are no bad foods. There actually are. Refined sugar is actually not good for you. Yes we all like it,but cakes, chocolate etc are bad for you. Well done for cutting down on the processed sugar. I'm sure your body will thank you for it!!

That sounds sensible. I think I'm going to stick to just special occasions. I would love to steer clear of alcohol completely though, but given how often I drink, I'm not sure that will be possible lol! Day 18 - done. It is getting much easier as time goes by. Im grateful that it isn't really an issue at the moment.

I feel like I'm in need of some motivation today. There's Krispy Kremes and Lola's Cupcakes in the office plus I have book club with the girls this evening in a bar with lots of temptations. On a sep note, I had a very random dream that I was in a bake off and ate some cake. I woke up thinking I had failed the challenge haha. In fairness I have found my cravings getting less and less. I was socialising a lot yesterday but still didn't touch sugar! I am eating fruit so if I really need something I'll try to grab some grapes or raisins as they are sweet but natural. I'm not adding stevia or any artificial sweetners to anything. Hey ALK150! It's never too late to get started. Ive cut out everything with sugar as an added ingredient so sweets, ketchup, anything that has sugar. I was horrified to see sugar as an ingredient in my veggie sausages. Welcome! And good luck!!!!

So glad to hear that! Well done! Tonight will be day 7 for me. I've really tried. My food choices haven't always been perfect but they've been better and I've stayed clear of the processed sugar.
