  • I am trying to do the same at the moment. Throughout this lockdown, I have been stuffing my face. I find that my self discipline is so bad, that I cannot do the moderation thing well. I do better when I cut these foods out and only have them on special occasions. I also find that once I am out of the habit of eating these…
  • I haven't read all the comments but cutting out processed sugar/food and eating more vegetables and clean food is absolutely the best way to live for weight and health! I've got my exercise down but I'm really trying to cut down on sugar, alcohol and rubbishy food! Feel free to add me!
  • Count me in too please! My goal is to only drink on special occasions but to otherwise be alcohol free. It's so easy to get into the habit of drinking every day. I was doing well before Christmas, but gave myself the holidays off! I'm ready to get back on it now. Today was day 1 of being alcohol free :) Good luck with your…
  • Count me in too! I've really enjoyed being alcohol free in September, so long may it last!! I just feel so much fresher and my workouts haven't been suffering, which is also a good thing!
  • Thank you that was really helpful to read!
  • I make brownies with my protein powder. I play around with the recipie but it is:- 1-2 ripe bananas 1/2 cup hemp protein Cocoa powder (how much depends on the flavour you want) Handful of dates to sweeten Sprinkle of coconut flour Mix it all in the mixer. I add a dash of water, then bake on about 175 for about 20 mins.…
  • I'm still alcohol free and feeling great with it! I even went out and partied until 5am on no alcohol. It was different to being out drinking, but it was still good in a different way!
  • Count me in too! I haven't had a drink this far. In August I had a few weddings and social things so drank quite a bit. It really had an impact on my exercise and seeing as I'm forking out for PT sessions, I should really be more focused!!
  • I'm trying to get down on processed sugar again! I was in a really good place with it a few months ago but slipped up and never really got it under control again. I know that for me, I look and feel much better when I cut out/down on processed sugar. I am not very good at having it in moderation. Shall we do a day by day…
  • I'm trying to loose 40lb too! I always say this but I finally want to reach my fitness goals this year!!!
  • I was/am in the same boat! I just wanted to sleep and felt so rubbish, but you've just got to put one foot in front of the other and keep going. There will always be good and bad days as you're trying to get over everything but the best thing you can do for yourself is to work out and look good and feel good. I kept saying…

  • Love this! It's so important to be positive and start the day right. I have these cards that have an affirmation, mantra and intention and pick 1 of each daily. Really helps me to reset and stay positive when I have a lot of stuff going on!
  • Thank you @theowlbox :)
  • Well done! You look amazing :)
  • Really enjoyed the positivity on this thread! I might even get the devotional book. It looks like just that I need at the moment! Thank you!! :)
  • Day 5, still going strong. How is everyone else doing? @jnjj it wasn't too bad the first time actually. I just took it day by day and told myself there are so many delicious other things I can have!
  • Yesterday I was proud of myself for not picking up my favourite chocolate salted caramel biscuits, which I always devour in one sitting. I was actually in the shop staring at them. The reason why I was proud of this, was because I was really craving them, but I'm also trying to get back to not eating added sugar regularly…
  • If it is just added sugar then I am in! I've done this before and felt amazing. Went on holiday and never quite regained the control. Today is Day 3 of being added sugar free for me! Would love to get to 21 days!
  • I am an emotional eater too. I usually give in to it, but something that helps me is when I say to myself that I can have whatever I'm craving but not right now. I usually say if I still want it the following day, I can have it. 9 times out of 10 I don't even want it the next day.
  • From yesterday I am back on my regular workouts. Back to eating smaller portions and steering clear of added sugar and alcohol! Bring it on!!!
  • I was added sugar free for a while but then started again after a holiday where I ate whatever I wanted. Today is day 2 of being added sugar free. I really enjoyed being added sugar free before. I noticed that I didn't even crave it or think about it after a while. I also noticed being more energetic, less sluggish and…
  • Only thing that works for me is going cold turkey on processed added sugar. Otherwise I have absolutely zero will power. I'm hoping that if I'm cold turkey for long enough, I will be able to have it in moderation. It's a real struggle for me!
  • I'm just under 5"4 and have about 3 stone to lose. The weight always looks so much more on shorter girls!!
  • I'm really interested in this too and just generally having positive vibes around me!!
  • I'm in! I was added sugar free for months. I was eating fruits. I felt so good but went on holiday and started eating sugar as I didn't want to be too restrictive and wanted to drink! I've been back 5 days and can't stop eating sugar. It's time to go cold turkey again!!! Once you're in the routine of doing it, it's not too…
  • How's everyone getting on? I went on holiday and got back yesterday. I'm in the gym now trying to get my routine back on track! I'm also laying off the sugar and alcohol from today :)
  • Sounds like a plan! Yesterday was my first day easing back to making more sensible choices, and it felt good!!!
  • I don't worry about natural sugar at all. Fruits and veg are sooooo good for you. I have however cut out refined sugar and I'm staying away from food with sugar added as an ingredient.
  • I had a few personal training sessions at a body building gym before I started lifting. I think I did 10 sessions and I use what I learnt in my gym by myself. I'm by no means a "lifter" and feel self conscious sometimes, but I work out a routine of what I learnt and just go to the gym and do it! I use free weights more…
  • Good luck! I'm running my first 10k this morning and it's chucking it down with rain!!
