I would say if anything Caffeine has the effect of speeding up weight loss but probably not enough to make a big difference. Caffeine may stimulate thermogenesis i.e. help you burn calories, and reduce your appetite and although I wouldn’t recommend my diet to anyone as it’s a PSMF and quite extreme I take caffeine…
