  • Not many here, don't have access to a commercial gym, but a local PT runs classes in town.... Boxing/Circuit (with PT) Lifting (Home) Cycling Walk/Run (trying to follow a program, days are too short for me to run now ) Michelle Bridges DVDs I want to get into training for a mini Triathlon in November, so I need to start…
  • I'll give you some advice from someone who's been in your shoes. Get onto it now! I 'gave up' after my wedding and in the 3mos it took for me to get pregnant with #1 I had gained 5kg. I then gained 10kg in between #1 and #2 and then we struggled to get pregnant with #3 (it took us over 2 years and I eventually found out I…
  • A lb or 2 heavier over night does not equate to a lb or 2 of fat.... more like water retention. You have to eat in a surplus to gain fat and you are eating at a huge deficit. Weigh yourself ONCE a week at exactly the same time of day (I do it before breakfast but after my morning ablutions) to get a better idea of how much…
  • If the jar isn't opened in a couple of days throw it in the bin! I would be pissed off myself especially if they had said previously that they hated it. I love it, but can control myself. Nutella on the other hand is my weakness. I allow my kids to have it in school holidays and just try not to go near it. So. Hard......
  • Started just after Easter and have had a few ups and downs (scale wise), scale is slowly dropping, measurements are dropping and I'm more active than ever while watching what I eat!! Age: 30 Height: 5ft 4 SW: 105.7kg/233lbs CW: 101.5kg/223.7lbs GW: (Lots of mini goals in 5kg increments, first one is getting to…

  • I'm a farmer's wife and I think my husband would probably agree with you.... LOL
  • The best part of the pics was seeing the carton of Winnie Blues on the water jugs in the Australian family picture! Also if I had to choose any of these for my own weekly shopping trip I'd have to go for India.... I love me a good curry!
  • Where I live it right now in WA is around 15c during the day and down to around 4-5 c of a night. Where I used to live in NSW it wasn't unheard of to have a good run of 8-10 c days and then get down to -5c of a night.
  • Bugger it being cold and wanting to eat everything, I just ALWAYS want to eat everything! I'm in SW WA and our winter days are pretty mild (I used to live in the South West Slopes of NSW and the difference is noticable, warmer here by a mile!). Eggs and porridge are my current breakfast staple and I still can't go without…
  • Chocolate for sure, party foods (I hate when I go to a dinner party and the nibblies get put in the middle of the table, I can't help myself the cheese platter kills me every time). Healthy.... I could eat my weight in nuts and I would easily go OTT with bananas.
  • By far the BEST thread on MFP!! My new fitness icon! Glamour-puss and kick-*kitten* at the same time! Rawr!!!
  • Love quinoa, we go through a lot of it and no longer eat rice. I eat a tonne of cottage cheese, ricotta and yoghurt. Brussel sprouts are one of my fave veg LOL Can't stand: Kale (definitely would much rather silverbeet/spinach), tofu, tin tuna (unless it's mixed with a tin of salmon in my home made fish cakes!), raw celery…
  • Must be 'bad' sushi if they've got 50% off........
  • 1850-1900 cals a day. I don't eat back exercise cals (or if I do it's not all of them). I started heavy lifting 3x a week, a 1hr boxing class 1 day a week and if I feel like doing anything more I'll do some walking or light jogging. I'm losing roughly .5kg a week.
  • ^^This I've tried to cut out things I love before and it doesn't work for me, I feel like I'm depriving myself so I just think "stuff it!" and I binge! Now I'm doing it properly, cutting back on instead of cutting out the things I love. I still have chocolate and pizza etc, I just make sure they fit in my day and work…
  • @sarahsedai - which Ajah is your fave, I'm a Green myself  You are the second WoT fan I have seen on the site this week!
  • 1) I've logged consistently and honestly 2) I've not gone over goal since Sunday (even with PMS cravings!) 3) I started Stronglifts 5x5 (and I love lifting) 4) I weighed in a loss! I know you only wanted one but this week has been a good one for me, I've now got only 36.5kg to lose
  • I'm 5ft4 and my goal weight is between 65 and 70kg (upper end of BMI scale as I'm large framed). My plan is to lift heavy to reduce my BF% so when I get to my goal, the scales won't be a big deal for me it will be how I look and feel, I'm aiming for low 20s in BF%. At my lightest I was 68kg and an Australian size 12 up top…
  • I'd like to get my hubby to start this, and he did it the day I bought the weight set last week, but not since then. He's too tired apparently. So until he makes up his mind if he want to lose weight I'm doing it on my own! I started this program properly yesterday (was just stuffing around with the weights before then).
  • Hi! I started strong lifts yesterday (was going to start NROL4W, but I need too many accessories so figured SL 5x5 would be a better place to start me off). I am training at home and am pretty sure I'm going to be addicted to lifting. I'm starting with basics (also seeing a PT to discuss form and technique) and hoping that…
  • Not at all, I've got plenty of friends up here and the view is amazing. Like everyone else I'm wondering how this routine went and just wish women would pick up weights that are actually challenging. The OP may as well just lug her shopping bags around because it's a damn sight more challenging than a 2.2kg dumbell.
  • Pink! (Your bra/crop)
  • Would love to join you in sitting around a coffee shop studying! LOL love it! As long it's not home brew spirits you're good! I need tissues (still) when I watch the Lion King, makes me cry every time!
  • Glad it's not me then! He drives me crazy sometimes! I'd love a night off, not going to happen though.
  • I go to Macca's about once a week. We went on Tuesday I ordered a classic chicken salad, standard caramel latte on skim and ate half a pkt of my daughters small french fries :) I don't deprive myself and we eat it in moderation (once a week or once every couple of weeks), so I don't see the big deal. I live on a farm so…
  • I have an FT4 and no problems here. I definitely trust it more than gym equipment and MFP due to being able to enter user stats etc. Of course it's not going to be accurate, but it will be damn closer than guessing! Not sure how you would work out cals burned if your BP meds are affecting your HR. Good luck!
  • BUMP! I own a beautiful KitchenAid that is getting no loving now I'm trying to lose weight! Thanks for the tips!
  • Amazing transformation!
  • I have before pics, but they won't go public until I'm at least halfway to my goal and then it's going to be iffy LOL! I think they are such a good tool to keep you motivated and to look back on when you lose the weight. I plan on taking pics once a month or every 5-10kg to document my progress. I think looking at the pics…
