Thanks dixiech1ck. I had never run any official races over 5k. My practice runs are long, I regularly do the Art Museum loop. I finished in 2 and a half hours.

I will be doing the Broad Street Run this year with Students Run Philly Style. We will start waay in the back which is good for me so I don't get in anyone's way. I'm a new runner and this is my first time running anything over a 5k. My goal = I won't finish last! :-)

I am annoyed by this one, "I don't want to lose too much weight. I just want to lose my belly" I find the most annoying people who are trying to lose weight are the ones who think it's their place to tell everyone else what and how to do it (without anyone asking) I do what works for me, you do you.

Hi all! I'm 5'1" and I would like to lose another 20-30 lbs. My daily calorie goal is set at an initial 1200 calories, but I eat more when I exercise. I'm currently trying to walk for 30 minutes per day during the week and add an in at least one hour of other activity on the weekend. I've never tried to lose more than 1 lb…

Good job on getting over your hatred for math :laugh: I double majored in Accounting and Finance (A.A.S. degrees) and then I went back to school and received B.S. degrees in Accounting and Business I also did a stint at a country club as an Assistant Controller where I gained experience in all areas
