i hear ya! i try really hard not to mention diets/food/my progress with others because a) they don't care, and b) it does make me seem obsessed with myself, and i don't want to seem like i'm fishing for compliments/reassurance. that being said, i spend hours a day on this 'hobby' so it is nice to be able to talk about it…

I just received a tip from an mfp friend today to caution beans/lentils, as they are high in carbs. i'm not saying don't eat them, as they do have a lot of benefits, just keep it in mind. I just had a lovely bean soup for lunch..... i agree with the tuna post, and that thick greek yogurt, if you can take it:)

I'm in! 3 months.... ok i've been on this journey for 3 weeks so far, so i think i've ironed out my diet challenges and a fitness path, ready to hit it hard! I'm 5'8 also (yay for tall girls!) my body fat is 25.9%, i'd like to get that down to 22%. Would like to get from my current 136 down to 125. because I don't know…

truly impressive, and good motivation to continue!

haha um.... one time i got up from a weight bench, looked down and saw a big sweaty bum print i'd left on the bench. that was embarrassing. I still don't know, or want to know, how sweaty my bum actually looked in those grey lululemon pants...

whaaaat?! that is insane, and so motivating! you should be really proud of yourself!

Hi! I recently found a recipe which I've been wanting to try... Roasted Broccoli with Parmesean. So sprinkle with some olive oil, rub around to coat, then throw in the oven (400-425.) Near the end (when still a little firm for your liking) sprinkle with parmesean cheese, then finish roasting. i'm looking forward to trying…

Hi guys! I joined a few weeks ago, and have no fear, you will learn a LOT in a short amount of time on here. Great for support, motivation, and keeping you on track! I'll add you:)
-
mmmmmmm, i'm gonna have to add that to the repertoire
-
Yes, I had kind of wondered if this might be a problem... I'll keep it in mind for the next few days
-
Me too, just started! I felt like I'd been eating alllll day. A little apprehensive, it is a complete mind shift, eh? I'm giving it a week anyway... I'll add you!
-
That's a beautiful message!
-
Two of my favourite things, pulled pork and sweet potatoes! Trying it:)
-
jourdanerin, frustrating, eh? I wouldn't have been concerned if it were just for a day or two, but it's been 7 days, and inching higher. Think where I went wrong was counting my initial loss as real loss but was likely just water loss:( ah well, we'll keep at it and we're bound to get over this hurdle!
-
awesome, thanks heybales! gonna try to switch my target intake. let's see where that gets us! wow, 250cal daily for a week to gain one lb of fat.... my, what a gluttonous winter I must have had....
-
Yes, good article, cwolfman13, thanks!

Did you feel hungry when you were underconsuming? According to my TDEE I've been underconsuming for this past 3 weeks, I've only lost 2 of my 10 lb goal, but i haven't felt hungry (other than two really painful days.) I feel satiated, but not seeing the results I want - afraid that if i consume more, I will start gaining...

runner2runner, that pic is beautiful!

haha, hilarious. my Werther's chocolates have been the best part of my day, after being up since 1:30am. Giddiness to seep in soon...

Instead of a cup of tea at a time, i brew a pot, and have it sit on my desk. One pot equals about 3 8oz cups of tea, some sort of loose leaf herbal or green tea blend.

This is good info for me, thank you! Yes, I'm definitely not on a gain-diet.
-
haha, sorry, I should have mentioned I am doing more than that. Doing The Daily Hiit (hiit with weights, varied routines targeting different areas, cardio, or core,) along with targeted routines for abs, arms, and booty. and i could show you my food diary, provided you don't get too disgusted by my cheat days!

I think this must be where it's at. First week, that 6 lbs dropped off like nothing, then back up. so must be just fluctuations at the beginning. I'll keep on truckin!
