I think that night eating thing has been pretty much dismissed as a myth. As long as you're eating less than you burn throughout the day, you'll lose weight.

I agree. This is the main reason my food diary is still private. I have some crazy busy days where I make some really awful and I don't want someone to start judging me based on that one day where all I had was a can of Monster until after 2:00.

I log it under high impact aerobics.

I'd guess that if she ate a deficit for a while, her legs will slim down along with the rest of her body, although she may be genetically predisposed to have bigger thighs. Sometimes that happens, we all wear our weight differently.

I love peanut butter, I eat it everyday. It's high in calories, so I usually don't eat more than 1 serving, but it has lots of healthy fats. I also get Adams crunchy unsalted, so no artificial ingredients. And the no salt is really just a personal preference, I picked that one up one day and now every time I eat the…

Do it!!! I started Zumba on DVDs because I the idea of making a fool of myself in front of a bunch of other people didn't appeal to me, so if you're worried about that I'd take that route. But, it is SUPER fun. And it only took me a few days to get most of the moves down, and just this week I started my first real Zumba…

I'm pretty sure this no longer counts as "water." Especially because it is caffeinated.

Cold War Kids. I liked them pretty well before the show, LOVED them after.

It is entirely a personal preference decision. I love the elliptical, it just feels so much better to me and I've never really enjoyed running. My boyfriend is an entirely different story, he likes to run, therefore prefers the treadmill, in fact won't even get on an elliptical. It just comes down to whatever feels better…

It only took me about 3 months actually, although I did start off a bit heavier than you. I went from 185 to 165 in that amount of time, AND I was set up to lose about one and half pounds per week, which I wouldn't recommend for someone who is already in a healthy range like you are.

I don't know a whole lot about it, but I will say that, in the interest of weight loss, your best bet is to continue calorie counting. You could eat all clean and super healthy foods all the time, but still be overweight if you happen to be overeating those healthy, clean foods.

I imagine you'll get a lot of responses about not being able to spot reduce fat, and that is true. So I guess my advice is a moderate deficit and some cardio to reduce fat all over, and then things like lunges, squats, and anything that will strengthen your core(there are a LOT of options on that one..)

Can't even get mine to open :( had to get on the computer to log anything in.

I find water much more pleasant with a lemon slice thrown in.

It's funny, I was never really skinny, but I never did actually feel fat. I mean, I was definitely self conscious and felt that I could be in better shape, but at around 170lbs for most of my life I never felt that I was fat, and here you all are saying you felt that way at 120!

I love apples and unsalted Adams crunchy PB, which I love pretty much for it's short ingredients list ("peanuts").

Well, I just started jump roping today, and I'll tell you it kicks your butt in a very short amount of time. If you're looking for a quick(and cheap!) way to get your cardio in, buy a jump rope. All it takes is waking up an extra 15 minutes early. As far as logging stuff in, I do it mostly on my phone.

I've heard that if you just start waking up consistently at a particular time each morning- and really force yourself to get up- then your body will tire out earlier and you'll end up going to bed earlier. Like, say tonight you can't get to sleep, if you force yourself to get up in the morning at 7 despite whatever time…

For me it was going out to eat all the time. When I started dating my boyfriend three years ago, we probably ate restaurant food or fast food for at least 2 of our meals on most days. I put on about 20, he put on about 40, but now we're both on MFP, and he's lost almost all the weight he put on and I've lost all of mine…

And I was just about to chime in "you keep using that word..."

No one seems to have mentioned this part, but how long is each session? I've always struggled with being a little extra hairy, and I might consider it for the future.

Try experimenting with just olive oil and different kinds of spices and seasonings. The oil is a bit high in calories and fat, but it's the good kind of fat :) and you don't have to use very much at all in my experience.

I have been on MFP for nearly a year now, and I can say with absolute confidence that there has not been a single day that I did NOT go over on sugar. I still lost weight and am considered healthy by my doctors standards

My boyfriend has been asking for this for Christmas/birthday/anniversary for pretty much the entire three years we've been together! But I tend to feel that it would make our tradition of opening presents with the family pretty uncomfortable, so I'm going with a copy of Paradisio that he's had an eye on that matches his…

In my experience, and I think most will agree, weight loss is mostly dependent on your diet. I see on your profile that you're looking to lose about 15lbs, and in the five months you have until May, that is absolutely doable on a 1lb a week deficit. Just keep to it and you'll see results. Good luck!
-
It depends on what you're looking for. For me personally, I started with a goal to get to 155 because that is the middle of my "healthy" weight range(I'm 5'10"). I'm there now, and I look alright, but now that I'm here I don't want to settle for "alright," I want to look the best I've ever looked! So now I'm thinking 140…

MOST people are completely normal about their drinks, but we can always tell when someone is used to going to Starbucks because their order is just ridiculous.

The doctor and the pharmacist both said "no calcium within 2 hours."
