Can you find some kind of compromise? I used to love the Starbucks skinny vanilla latte (grande - 130 calories and about $5) and now I've switched to the Starbucks skinny vanilla mild cafe misto (grande - 70 calories and about $3). AND....I've tried to limit having one to just 1-2 days a week!!!

Awesome job! I'm so close (49.4) and am SO looking forward to seeing that number on my news feed next week!!!

Subway 6" turkey breast on whole wheat - with cheese, loaded with veggies and fat free honey mustard sauce is pretty low calories/fat (355/7). Also, you can make any sub into a salad so you don't have the bread - even better and yummy!

BUMP - I can't see the pictures from work but it sounds like I'd better come back here tonight to look!

Why, why, why did someone not tell me this sooner! Hahaha! LOVE IT!

THAT is definitely something you should be proud of.....what a sweet little boy :flowerforyou:

BTW - I see you're in Kelowna....I'm not sure if you were planning on travelling to Vancouver for the surgery to staying local. Just FYI, I had mine done at Lasik MD in Vancouver - they were great and very reasonable. Check out their website - they give a lot of information on how the procedures are done, etc.
-
YES - I had Lasik (Zyoptic (sp?) actually - it's a form of lasik and I had to go this route because my pupils were slightly larger than normal and this procedure reduces the chances of seeing "starbursts" at night). It was the BEST decision I ever made. The day of the surgery was nerve racking but really, there is a bit of…

WOW - you look great! Congratulations - be very proud of yourself!!!

BUMP - I'd like to try this! Thanks for sharing!

My "log-in day" is Fridays.....this morning I was up 3.6 and although I had a challenging week (long weekend of camping, birthday dinners, etc.) I didn't expect it to be THAT bad. Anyways, it's the week "before" so I'm hoping that has something to do with it as well. BUT - I did suck it up and log it. Hopefully next week…

Ya - what she said!!! That is amazing - you're doing so great!!! Keep going and before you know it, you won't be seeing a "2" at the beginning anymore either!
-
I'm definitely not an expert but it sounds like you're doing too much, too often! Listen to your body....if you need to take a couple of rest days, then do it! Or just pick 1 or the other to do instead of both (JM or gym). Most of all, don't beat yourself up or give up just because you've had a few days where your energy…

Bump! I've been doing MFP for several months but need to step up my exercising so tonight I did day 1 of C25K! Good luck to you!
-
Are you eating enough? I've never had that problem (haha) but I've seen time and time again on here that people up their calories a bit and low and behold, they start losing like crazy! Seems weird I know but worth a try??? Also, are you drinking enough water??
-
Totally counts!
-
I totally did this too last week - and found a bunch of jeans that were too big so they're being passed on to a good friend who is also losing! I went camping and had 2 of the guys say they didn't recognize me when I first got there! That was good to hear! Keep going everyone! We're totally rockin' it!

My votes are for #3 and #5.....cute ;o)

Interesting....for me, walking would definitely burn more calories than running because I know I will be able to walk longer than running and I will actually get out there and walk whereas running....probably not so much! Thanks for sharing! :drinker:

First thing Friday morning (after a bathroom break and before I hit the shower) is the "official" weigh in day when I record on MFP but I usually peek at least once a day.....I know that's probably not the best thing to do but I just can't seem to help myself! It does help to keep me going though and I do realize that our…

 Wow - I'm impressed!!! Sounds like you have put a lot of thought in to it. My bf and I have been together for over 8 years.....I used to give cards and little gifts but it was never reciprocated (sp??) so I just stopped. He's so not a romatic/gifty type guy. Congratulations and good luck with your evening - I'm…

Me too - I'm a blubbering mess in my office at work - and I can't even see the pictures from here (will definitely look back tonight at home). This is such an awesome story and so inspiring!! Your children are very lucky to have a determined and caring mom like you and obviously you're very lucky to have such great…

All great advice. LOVE the parks! I wrote our cell numbers on a piece of paper and made sure it went in each of the kids' pockets every morning in case of separation. I also took a picture of the parking lot and number each morning when we got out of the car so if we forgot what section we were in, it was always handy.…

*LIKE* :drinker:

Good luck - I hope you love this site and app as much as I do!! Looks like we started with around the same to lose - I'm half way there (in about 5 months). How tall are you - I'm about 5'7" and my goal is about 150. Keep with it - it WILL work for you! :flowerforyou:
-
From just outside Vancouver as well! Good luck to everyone!!! :drinker:
-
Same here! WTH is up with that - haha!
-
I'm the same - my "official" weigh in day (first thing in the morning) is Friday and that's the only weight I record on MFP....but I'm a slave to the scale and usually peek at least once a day (usually first thing in the morning so it's somewhat consistent). I know I shouldn't but I can't help it - ha!

Can you get outside at lunch for a good brisk walk for 50 minutes or so?? You'd be surprised at how much of a difference that will make! I try to get out at lunch 2-3 times a week and it makes the afternoon much easier to get through and then I don't feel too guilty if I can't find the time or energy to exercise some more…

I would think probably adding more water so you don't get dehydrated but that would be it.
