Here are some suggestions from a fellow MFPer! 1. Sodium...if you do some research you will find the recommend daily allowance should be around 1500...you might try to lower this number. 2. Exercise...may be time to up your game here 3. Calories...I'm a believer in mixing it up from time to time...I go through periods…

It's important to not cause more injury here! Try the kettlebell! or the pool! it's possible that the elliptical would work too...

I too work around death and dying every day and I wonder if a part of us feels a bit of survivors guilt...just a thought. On another note, I was there too, but something has changed for me. This started when I joined a 6week biggest loser contest at a local doc's office. I told myself that I could do anything for six weeks…

gonna challenge myself this week!

Hi folks, Regretfully I need to resign from this competition. I'm heading out on a ten day trip and will not have access to my scales and to use any other scale will not reflect an accurate weigh in. Apologies for the inconvenience and not remembering this from the beginning. Hope you all rock it!!!

The addiction is very real. The more you can rid your diet of simple carbs (white bread, white pastas, etc) and anything sugar related...it has a lot of names...including sugar substitutes...the more likely you are to curve your cravings. It can happen....
-
One thing that helps me is to remember that this isn't a diet but a life style...this helps me to go out and eat and places like this on occasion and either figure out what I can eat or eat knowing that tomorrow I have to get moving to balance it out. No blowing it here...just integration of a new way of living!

Hey! How's everyone doing on this Monday evening??? Looking forward to sharing this journey with you! Question...are we really taking a pic of our weight? I've never heard of doing this before...and not sure why we are doing it if that's the case... Here's to Tuesday!!!
-
From the looks of your diary you are way too high on your sodium and your sugar intake is high also. Really cut back on these, sodium should be around 1500, and any processed foods and I bet you'll see the scales a movin!
-
I would also include: How much processed foods are you eating? Drinking lots of water? Too much sugar? If you open your diary we can help more...
-
Not sure about the knees, but my feet eventually stopped hurting...of course you should know that this was after a few years of being in pain. Have them on the bottom and in my achilles...

Holy Cow!!! Amazing!! And inspirational!

I usually have my HRM and walk...fast walking...up and down the terminals...i've burned lots this way!!! good luck!
-
This is where the new you tells the old you: "You can have fast food once a week...is it going to be now or later in the week?" Otherwise it's a NO! Unless of course you're not serious about losing weight and have no expectations for a good loss for the week...just sayin....
-
Oh my gosh, what an amazing woman you are! I'm in tears reading this. That you chose to fight for your life rather than let your grief take you down is brilliant! What an inspiration you are to us all! Thank you!
-
YES but I don't have HBO :(((( still need to see last season!!
-
I'd be asking the gym folks to make sure the equipment is properly grounded...that shouldn't be happening...
-
or you could cook your own breakfast...or take turns...why is she cooking for you anyway when you are watching what you eat? You're setting her up to be responsible for your weight issues...take the control back...
-
WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats everyone and esp to the Orange Team!!! We rock!!!
-
You're such an inspiration!!! Love that you've accepted this journey and are committed to it for life!! You go!
-
Hopefully it's not what causes my achilles pain which is bone spurs...the pain has lessened over the years, but I still have to be careful and wear shoes with good support. And I now have these bumps on the back of my feet... Hope it feels better soon!
-
I have to laugh cause when you said "cup" I thought of bra size!!! Ha!
