I read recently that no extra calories are needed for the first half of a pregnancy at all and only 200 are needed per day in the last trimester. This was in an article about pregnancy myths and why 'eating for two' isn't true. Hope this helps

When I'm in the office 5 days a week, my day looks like this: 9:15am - breakfast (porridge/brown toast/cereal 11ish - snack (carrot sticks/banana/other fruit) 12ish - snack/cup of tea (more fruit/slice of toast) 1/1:30 - lunch (salad/sandwich/small hot meal portion/soup) 4ish - snack (fruit/low fat crisps/anything crunchy)…

And what does that say about THEM?? There you are, out to better yourself and there they are putting other people down. Keep going!!!

I'm not injured but I have chronic joint/muscle/spine problems so I know what it's like to have to pace myself! Working 'through' pain is rubbish so start slow and if you're ever in pain the STOP immediately. Swimming can be great as it is low impact. You can also get a pull buoy (a float that goes between your thighs) so…

He's most probably saying it for your health too. He sounds like he tried to be tactful, I would be really proud of how stable your relationship must be for him to be honest

Look at all the weight you've lost!! Massive congratulations for your 1 year mark. I've done MFP before for a couple of weeks/months and as soon as I lose 5lbs or so thought "Well I know I can lose the weight so it's fine" and stopped. Good on you! Very motivating to see you start at my weight.

Ahh no - I'm not that bad! I only log walking when I'm walking fast and am working up a bit of a sweat. The problems with my joints/muscles means that I can feel the burn as soon as I'm 'exercising properly' so it's like an alarm to log it. I don't log walking to the fridge or anything!
Unless you know that the thing you are consuming has about 5 calories in it, you should log everything? Butter, mayonnaise. Not recording that is cheating ;-)
I was just trying not to be too OCD about it but I think a little bit of OCD seems necessary to get an accurate idea of what I'm eating. For…

Well I can see from everyone's trackers that although there are lots of different methods, everyone is getting closer to their goals  On my third pint of water today (tracked!) and bought some Splenda sweeteners for my tea so no more high calorie sugar! I'm logging things like walking around at lunchtime as I listed…

Feel free to add me too! I live near London and have 20lbs to lose (to start with!) I'm on 1200-1300 cals a day
-
Thanks so much everyone! I know everyone's different but is good to know how strict to be without going crazy about it! Going to buy sweetener and 1 cal cooking spray now that I'm logging EVERYTHING.
-
That sounds fair enough - If I find logging everything too tough I think I'll do this as then the pressure it off a bit if i can eat lots of bananas and melon!
-
I get the idea! :p I'm going to log absolutely everything to get a realistic idea. I usually don't log ANY fruit/veg either so I eat more of these to stay healthier. I have however just seen that a small Innocent smoothie bottle is 150 cals :noway:

Thank you so much for all your quick replies. Sorry for my ignorance, but if you log 30 mins running and then eat the calories you've burnt off running, doesn't that mean you have defeated the object of running? That's what I've got in my head and it might be completely wrong! Will def log EVERYTHING for the next week to…

Fish & chips! I knew it was bad but 1000 odd calories was ridiculous. Also once drank a Mars milkshake thinking 'ahh, calories aren't too bad in this' then realised those calories were for 250ml and it was a 500ml bottle. Eeeep!
