Hm I guess I can only expect these symptoms then. Thank you all for contributing to this post!

I'm having the same problem. I want to lose weight, but I'm finding it hard to be happy with my body, particularly my body shape. I thought I had myself convinced myself a little while ago that I was okay with my body shape, but I think there's more to it than my poor body-image. I've tried to make myself feel better by…

I would love to join this group too! The stomach has always been my weakest area (in addition to my thighs). :P

You look amazing! Congratulations :D

Well my doctor told me that smoking causes water retention, so that's why it seems like quitting smoking makes you lose weight, when it's just the water retention. I really don't know anything, but I don't smoke so it doesn't affect me. :P

HAHA, very hot if you ask me.
-
That sounds interesting. I've never made it but I'm curious to see how it's done!

What an amazing transformation! Keep up the great work :)

Uhmmm yes please! Excess is excess. Otherwise, sure you need to look like a man so keep some. But trimming is a great idea.

You look amazing! And not even in your thirties, seriously. :)

To all you lovely ladies who responded, your measurements sound great! It's really amazing what a little exercise and a lifestyle change (nutrition wise) can do for you. Strut your beautiful selves! Haha :flowerforyou:

Thank you for your information! I realized I'm either a 28D/28DD. I've been fitted wrong all along! :P I need to get an accurate fit sometime.

Depends on your frame. I'm 5'8" and my steady weight is 124 lbs, but I'm looking at a new goal weight of 120 lbs. What is your frame? If you don't know encircle your middle finger and your thumb over your wrist. If it overlaps, you have a small body frame. If your fingers touch, it's a medium body frame. If it doesn't…

First of all, there are never stupid questions! :) And to answer your question, I think eating back your calories is a great idea. That's what I've changed my strategy to since last week, and hopefully on Thursday (weigh-in) day I'll see a change! Keep up the great work.
-
I don't even think he should be having 'weigh-ins' for you. I mean, are you his prize animal or something?! He has no respect for you, sorry. Kick him to the curb!

I always presumed the bust measurement was straight across. I hope I'm not mistaken. Well I guess I should just focus on getting more toned and losing the 'flabbiness' of my body through clean eating and weight lifting. As for the shape I can't do anything about it apparently but I can find the positive in this situation.…

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'd like to respond to the second to last poster and say that I have nothing against pear shapes, or hourglass shapes, or inverted triangles, etc. I just prefer to be flat and have no curves as I always have been. I realize that I'm growing and I'll have to accept my body for how it is,…

All these tips are fabulous, but sorry I have to disagree with you on number 8 (weighing yourself daily). It can be quite discouraging to some of us, as the water weight really fluctuates. Other than that, thank you for this great post. Salud!

Best advice I've ever been given is to eat clean. It really does make your body feel better. Less mood swings, more attentive, not to mention improved academic performance (for me). Really is a life saver. Advice I'd give? Keep at it. We are only human and will have setbacks and make mistakes, but it's up to us to get past…

Before I go anywhere, I check their nutritional facts brochure online. McDonald's- Grilled Chicken Snack Wrap Taco Bell- Chicken Gordita Subway- Turkey Breast on Wheat, Veggies, No Cheese, No Sauces, Salt and Pepper (Veggie Delite is less calories for sure) Olive Garden- Lighter Fare Menu (On the menu when you go there)…

Well I like to workout because it gets my mind off of other things, but I make sure to maintain a deficit anyways (I don't know how accurate the caloric burn is). That is why I do it. And I feel like I've accomplished more when I workout as opposed to when I just eat at a deficit.

That's what I thought this post was about (with the sp. error?) Haha. So yup mine has a presence, sadly. Though not that much.

Heavy lifting and clean eating, all the way!

I'd go with the two people who said off the shoulder tops and the men's button down shirts with panties. Two of my favorite looks (obviously the second can't be worn outside. lol) - they make me feel so much more confident, I don't know why!

Any type of upbeat song that will get me 'sprinting to the finish line'. Today it was 'Trey Songz- 2 Reasons' Haha.

Thought it was gonna be some sort of health fact. Well... I'm wary of powdered products (added sugar, enzymes, etc), but I will definitely be buying some 75%+ dark chocolate when I go to the store next time. :)

Thanks so much for the link SuperAnthro. It was very useful! Seems like I should be a 26/28 DD/E based on this chart, but I will probably keep growing, so I think it's best I consult a fitting expert at GAP (I love their bras haha). I actually didn't do that type of fitting kkveggie! She just measured me and told me my…

Yes, I eat lean meats like turkey, fish (salmon), chicken, etc! No red meat for me- I don't like it anyways. I'm doing a 45-35-20 carb-protein-fat ratio. I think that sounds alright for my goals?

Okay, I know I don't want to lose muscle mass, so I'll just go ahead and keep consuming more fresh fruits, veggies, yogurt, and nuts to load up on more calories. Thanks!
