Log your total weight in the dumbbells or (2)xlbs. Whichever makes the most sense to you.

If you have absolutely no equipment and don't want to invest in any and are completely new to resistance training, get the book by Mark Lauren, Body by You. The physical book not digital. Lots of pictures and detailed progression chart. If you are willing to invest in equipment then, Bret Contreras' physical book, Strong…

Get Mark Lauren''s, Body by You. The physical book and not the ebook. It's a very structured progressive bodyweight program for beginners. Just 30 minutes and you're done. No special equipment needed,. I would recommend bracing something under the door though if your doorframe isn't very strong. It was a great introduction…

I haven't done his dvd. I think most people have done his YAYOG book program and his phone app. I started with his book, Body by You, which is for total beginners and so the progressions are more detailed and layed out. It was a great intro for me.

Thank you for the Navratan korma recipe! I hope you are well. Appreciate all the time you put into posting. :)

You can do this!! I'm 4'11", hypothyroid, and 48 years old. I started on MFP at almost 137 lbs and this morning I'm 117. It's taken me almost a year and I'm still not done because I want to lean out more but it's ok because I started this knowing I was making a lifestyle change and not a temporary change. I eat what I want…

I like to workout at home and I don't have the space for a power cage for weights so I really benefited from body weight training by Mark Lauren's book, Body by You, because the progression layout was so detailed (as opposed to his book, You are Your Own Gym) and I was a complete newbie in strength training too. And even…

I've done other JM dvds but not Revolution. She always gave 1 day of rest on her other programs and they were 30 minute intense programs. So I think you should take a day of rest, it's important for recovery. Also, you should be proud of the weight and inches you've lost so far. I've always felt that the inches I lost from…

I'm 4'11'' too and can't recommend Jillian Michaels' 30 day Shred or Ripped in 30 enough for fitness. I love her 3-2-1 interval system combining strength and cardio in just 30 minutes. I would just add that you don't have to work out 6 days a week like she recommends unless you are chasing the goal of being shredded as…

You look great! Your hard work is paying off. You should be really proud of your progress .

I think you meant to type 30 Day Shred :) -- if so, I started out with 3 lb and 5 lb weights as I could go heavier with some of the moves. If you can manage with your 2kg weights then stick with it and get some heavier ones as you progress so that you are always challenging yourself. But pay attention to your body--don't…

IMO, you will look way closer to goal weight if you exercise along with accurately tracking your intake...less flab. Get a digital food scale and read the stickies on this forum on how to use it. It will make tracking so much simpler. Good luck!

Both of you look AMAZING!! You should be proud of how much you've achieved. Thanks for sharing.

I know how agonizing it can feel. That first episode is the worst!! Imagine when it's the entire body. I was sneezing and saying "ouch!"

Sorry to hear you hurt your foot. I have occasional feet pain problems, too, so I sympathize. Her dvds are pretty high impact so you definitely want to be fully healed before diving in. Hope you heal quickly. Depending on the move, I alternate between 5 and 8 lbs, although I still use my 3 lbs for the anterior lunges with…

I've done both 30DS and Rip30 and love both. 30DS has 3 levels and Rip30 has 4 levels. And yes, doing 10 days of each level of 30DS is boring. I think if boredom is a factor and you only want to try one of her dvds, then switch up the levels as you see fit. I powered through it the first time but I would not do only 1 dvd…

I'm currently cycling through several different Jillian Michaels' dvds, 30DS being one of them. It is boring doing the same routine for a few to several days so I switch it up by 2 or 3 different dvds a week. I try to give it my all and keep the lag time between different exercises to a minimum, i.e. keep up the exercise…
