  • I love pomegranate seeds. Now that they're coming into season I shovel 'em into my face like no tomorrow. I usually peel one or two and just keep the seeds in my fridge for a quick snack. They're crunchy and sweet and I find the combo of those two things super satisfying.
  • Absolutely! It took me a loooooong time to figure this out. I now pre-log 1-2 days in advance. I know what's in my fridge, what kimd of snacks I have on hand as opposed to waiting until I'm hungry and just eating whatever I can find. It's helped immensely. Also I hugely agree with finding low cal, filling foods that work…
  • I've been pretty enamoured with a pepper mix recipe lately. It's super versatile so I make and use it throughout the week. 1 Red Pepper 1 Orange/Yellow Pepper 1 Cubanelle Pepper 1-2 Jalapenos 1 Medium Onion Saute diced onion in some olive oil, and then add the rough chopped peppers to sauté for a couple mins. Turn the heat…
  • I'm pretty sure me and Hubs made the exact same joke at the exhibit LOL And I lived in YT for a while, beautiful, but man! Was produce ever expeeeeeensive! Don't get me started on housing lol I can't imagine what it would be like in NT. This family is likely doing very well for themselves. I think I may have found the…

I remember the description underneath reading that the Canadian family lived in a self-built straw bale home if that gives you an idea. Probably not the average Canadian family. I did find this - they…
  • I saw this at a BodyWorlds exhibit about a year ago, although the Canadian picture was different. This picture seems more realistic. The picture they had I don't think was a true image of the average Canadian's diet.
  • Maybe they aren't trying to be A-holes about it, just hungry and lazy... When they open the fridge and see your cornucopia of prepped stuff it seems easier, and they assume one bit here or there won't make a huge difference etc. I am a hungry lazy individual. Although we cook from scratch here I absolutely love me some…
  • It sounds like shin splints... Pain when you bear weight? Recently kicked up your training? It's caused by the periosteum tearing away from the bone. For sure get checked out as it can lead to micro or stress fractures.
  • I'll eat anything that people haven't cooked up in a lab :) We buy our meats local and free range. We have some great farms around here. We usually buy a 1/4 cow and it lasts us a loooong time. We mostly eat chicken, turkey etc. I try to avoid GM foods, and buy organic. We have a garden, as do my very Italian in-laws. We…
