Avoid sugary foods and high carb foods that can make you sleepy. Take snacks like hummus and veggie sticks, tuna made with laughing cow lite cheese and minced veggies, hard boiled eggs, string cheese sticks, etc. Be careful about those energy drinks. They can be really bad for you. You made need caffeine, but avoid it the…

Congrats Dave!! You are so right. Food addiction needs to be approached like any addiction, and AA is a great resource for learning how to be healthy too!

Chili, bean soup (you can get those 15 bean soup mixes at most grocery stores), spaghetti sauce which you can use for pasta, or chicken and tomatoes or chicken parmesan, or a yummy sauce on top of fish and probably lots of other things, Posole, Chicken Corn Chowder, beef or chicken stew, vegetable barley soup, those are…

I wouldn't DARE keep most kinds of ice cream in my freezer. I sometimes keep a few individual servings of a Healthy Choice or Weight Watchers ice cream, but mostly, if I have any, it's a flavor that the boys like, that I won't eat.

Same to you! Hope your weather is lovely. It's sunny here, without a cloud in the sky and the weather is cool.

1 container of Aldi's Fit and Active Pumpkin Spice Nonfat Yogurt and 1 medium banana. Proof that you can eat healthy on a budget.

You look great!!! So happy for you!

I like it. Good source of healthy protein and fats. Just count it and you will be okay. One of my favorite breakfasts/snacks is - 1 1/2 t peanut butter spread on 1 piece of whole wheat toast and covered in 1/2 a sliced banana.

Until I went to England to visit friends, I had never had Scotch Eggs. HEAVEN!!! Also fell in love with pork pie and Yorkshire pudding. My father was German, so I eat lots of different kinds of German sausages,

You know, Golden Corral can be a good place to eat as long as you stick to the salad bar and fruit, and maybe some baked chicken. So proud of you, and so excited that you will be able to have your knee surgery!

I dice up some red or yellow pepper, cucumber, and seeded tomato if I have it and mix that in with a can of tuna. I use 2 wedges of Laughing Cow Light cheese as a binder, but mixing it with salsa sounds good too, and fewer calories. I eat mine as a salad, because it takes longer to eat so I feel more satisfied. I really…

Decide where you are going out to eat, then look at the menu online before you leave, so that you can pick out healthy choices. All restaurants are now supposed to post nutrition information. This has really helped me.

I do not buy organic produce because I do not have easy access to locally grown organic produce. The organic produce in my grocery stores is expensive, and often wilted and old looking. I just wash my produce well. I will buy organic meat and dairy when I can get what I want, since it's just for me, but think what you will…

Hi Sheri and Ladies! My name is Renate and I am 50 years old. I have 240-250lbs to loose. I did not have any weight issues until I got into my mid thirties, and I did not get into serious trouble until my late husband, late parents and son (he's fine now) became seriously ill, and I took a night shift position (I am a…

I have made this recipe many times for family and company. It is wonderful! I've never used bacon and I don't always use wine if I don't have it. Thanks for posting.

I have used this recipe for years! It's delicious and always a hit with company. You can save calories by dipping the chicken breasts in egg white instead of olive oil, but of course, you do loose some of the flavor and the olive oil helps keep the chicken breasts moist.

15 bean soup with lean ham is awesome and inexpensive. Serve it with carrot, cucumber and green pepper strips for a delicious, healthy, low fat and ridiculously cheap meal. You can use those 15 bean soup bags at the grocery, or navy beans too. This also freezes well, so you can make extra and freeze for later. One of my…

Great job on your weight loss! Are you a member of Pinterest? It's a great site to find healthy recipes. Of course, it's a great site to find unhealthy recipes too, so you have to be careful but I LOVE it. It's a site where you create your own bulletin boards for things that interest you and add to them. It's full of ideas…
