I grew up in Sheboygan, WI and currently live in Newton, WI with my wonderful husband of almost 20 years. He's from Minneapolis and always cheers for any team who plays AGAINST the Packers. Sundays can get quite interesting, to say the least. FR sent! :smile:

Try low impact exercises. I suffer from shin splints as well, but they are NOT aggravated when I use my Elliptical. Try an Elliptical Trainer. I don't think you will be disappointed. Feel free to add me, if you want!:happy:

Hmmm...that's a tough one, since I haven't really* given up any foods. Portion control is key! The only thing I could say that I have* given up is chips (cheetos, to be more specific). I started eating almonds to give me the "crunch" that I don't get from chips anymore.

I have the same problem too. I just work through it. The longer I exercise, the worse it is. Sometimes I move my feet around on the steps, or I stand on my tip toes for a little bit until the feeling comes back. Seems like a common problem that people have, so you are definitely not alone.

The first was when my doctor told me my sugar levels were a little high. The 2nd was when I went to put my belt on and I was at the LAST notch. So, instead of buying a new belt, I decided to do something about my weight. That was in February of this year. I've lost almost 40 pounds!! :happy:
