When you think about your ideal image of yourself what do you see? If i had the same issue I would get the surgery. Bonus, you could use the surgery as additional motivation to reach your goal.

Here is one for you. My S.O. has celiac and corn and oatmeal bothers her too.... Egg bake in a muffin pan. Good protein source. Easy to make and grab and go. I log each one as 1 egg and 1/12 the bacon that I used in total. I make them Sunday night and I reheat them in the mornings during the week 12 eggs. a little milk. -…

I just started again now that I am doing two -a-days. Up at 4 a.m. and at the gym by 4:10. I take a pre-work out and a partial glass of fruit juice. I do this to get my blood sugar up since I am lifting in the morning.

Optimum Nutrition makes a natural version without artificial sweeteners. Google "Gold Standard Natural 100% Whey".

A trainer would a good idea to get the basics down. An alternative would be to watch some youtube instructional videos and try the lifts with minimal weight in front of a mirror to check your form. You could also ask others at your gym for help.

I think each gym owner gets to set their price based on the market. Some include tanning and others have that as an add-on. Mine is $40/ month with a 12 month membership (including tanning which o think is a $5-$10 option at some)

Abs are made in the kitchen. I would cut back on the carbs and pay attention to the timing of carb consumption.

I love lifting. The scale is kind of a poor measurement when it comes to fat loss. I use progress pictures and tape measurements. Remember muscle is more dense than fat.

I have been a member of Anytime for a few years now. Majority of the people there just do cardio and I get the free weights to myself. I lift heavy and they do not mind. I am respectful and try hard not to drop the weights or make too much noise when dead lifting... (if that is even possible),. My current gym owner saw…

What was you initial motivation? Health? Looks? Try to remember that. If all else fails force yourself to workout for one week and hopefully it will come back.

I am in the same boat as you, but I gained more back than I initially lost.... :( I find the best motivation to be the pictures of yourself before gaining the weight back. Just remember how great it felt to be healthier.

I would take the £1m and convert it to $ giving me 1.5M USD. Then first pay off my student loans. Then invest the rest with the intent to provide a large portion of the yearly earnings to local kids who are coming from disadvantaged backgrounds.

I was quite fit before and i really enjoyed the 'attention'..... Oh yeah and to be healthy too

You mean that the lack of handwashing doesn't bother you?

100% true. These are the unwritten man laws that need to be obeyed. It happens all the time at my office.

Bananas. Most cramps are caused by imbalances in the sodium or potassium levels in your body. Bananas are a great source of potassium.

Weight training is a must. It increases your resting metabolism. This means that your body will be burning more calories throughout the day. I lift 6 days/ week working different muscle groups every day. This allows the muscles to rebuild and grow while they rest for a week. To keep it simple I follow a routine that I…

Hello, Both my fiancee and I are gluten free. I am both gluten and dairy free aside from the periodic whey protein shake.

I agree. First focus on form then add weight. You can do damage if do some heavy lifts incorrectly.

Barbell/ squat stand hands down. When you are lifting with free weights and barbells you have to use more muscles for balance. Think about squatting with the bar on your shoulders vs using a machine.

If you are going for Portfolio Management then the CFA is a MUST. I assume that you are debating between a masters in finance vs the CFA. Depending in what area of finance you are looking to get into one is better suited. In the investments area, CFA has a better ROI. The Masters is only good if it is from Wharton or some…

I have had issues with shin splints too. I discovered 2 solutions: 1). Run on gravel or softer surfaces. Concrete is the hardest surface to walk/run on followed by blacktop, gravel, then dirt. 2). Try to relearn how to run. I have to actively think about making sure my foot is striking the ground the right way and that I…

What muscle group did you work when you lifted on Monday? Try working the opposite muscle groups today. For example if you worked your biceps before work triceps today.

I have to work since it is the end of the quarter. Since I have closed all of my financials out before the 4th, I am getting paid today to waste time on the internet.

Are you Eating breakfast? I had the same issue where I would eat like crazy once I got home in the evening. I found that If I ate more during breakfast I wouldn't have the urge to pig out once I got home.

I think that it goes back to our primal nature. Women store fat incase they become pregnant and have to support a baby through a famine. Also males tend to have more muscle mass, which means a higher resting metabolism.

Two Options: 1) Optimum Nutrition Whey- Good post workout. 2)Optimum Nutrition Casein- slower digesting. This is good for before bed. I also use it for breakfast when I am in a hurry. I recommend chocolate flavor for both. Get a blender bottle. When you do mix a drink together error on the side of less water to avoid…

I used to drink soda/energy drinks like crazy. Now that I haven't had any for about a year I cannot stand to drink them. What I have heard is that diet sodas by themselves do not necessarily hinder weight loss. Since the game is all about caloric deficit. I heard that they can make you have stronger sugar cravings. If…
