Fantastic, I'm going to try that. Bought it straight from their website as it was way back when the One first came out. Thanks for the help!!!
-
I might have to try that. @Alatariel75 - did you just contact the company and tell them you lost it? I had my One for close to 3 years, no problems with it the entire time, then lost it a few weeks ago. Haven't purchased a replacement yet, but maybe I can try asking and see what happens instead. Maybe I'll get lucky ;)

Thanks for the advice @theclaw900! I'm trying to be careful, particularly during new movements, and concentrate on keeping solid form rather than maintaining pace with the rest of the group. Difficult though because I've always been too competitive for my own good and think I can keep up with anybody...at least in my own…

I'm a total newbie, only beginning my second full week joining the official "WOD" group after wrapping up the beginner training. It is TOUGH but I'm loving it so far. For the past two years or so I've focused on lifting (started with Stronglifts then did PHUL for a bit), so I'm hoping with that background my form is solid…

I fly regularly with vanilla protein powder and chia seeds in clear ziplocks, always in my checked bag though. Never had any issues with searches. I can smell the vanilla, so I figure a drug dog will be able to tell the difference too!

I've been wondering the same thing...when do you increase weights in PHUL? I assumed it was once you were topped out on the set and rep combos, as long as you weren't at failure during any of the sets.
-
Glad to hear I'm not the only one experiencing this @robbyf1971. I'm almost into week 4 of PHUL and am noticing it's a bit more of a struggle to get all my BP reps in as well. I see you're at 3x5 right now. That's where I was but on my last UP day I switched it to 4x4 and it felt a little better, even though the total…

You're right, some dogs see runners and think "play time," whereas others see you running and think "kill time." There's just know way to know how individual dogs will react, which is why it's necessary to be as cautious as possible. Mace/pepper spray might be a bit much though, many dogs are just as startled with a quick…

In to follow any helpful advice on this one. I plan on starting PHUL as well, as soon as my ankle finishes healing up. Tried front squats with just the bar the other day, and the tops of my arms are crazy sore, almost like they're bruised. Maybe I didn't have the bar close enough to my throat as @tufel suggested.

Hey, I'm in the same boat! Rolled my ankle and smashed my knee pretty badly while out on a long run. I'm on my fifth week of recovery and am finally able to walk slowly for about a mile. Have been doing lots of seated upper body lifts in the mean time, but ready to get back out on the road again. Feel free to add me for…

Not technically a movie, but Rudolph is my absolute favorite. Just watched it last night!

No turkey trots in my area, but I plan on getting out early and doing my own 5-miler. Gotta make room for all the pies later!

Working in Galveston right now, watching Tropical Storm Bill roll in. How's everyone else doing with all this crazy rain so far?

Salmon farming is one of the most environmentally damaging aquaculture operations as well, so there's always that end of it to consider too. Just because of that I choose to eat only wild-caught when available. Plus they inject dye into the farm-raised salmon to make them pink and attractive to the buyer when they're at…

St. John is my all-time fave, especially if you like to get out in nature and away from the crowds. If you're a shopper and prefer the touristy stuff...St. Croix and St. Thomas. If you like to party every night, then go to Puerto Rico (they never stop there!).

I do 10 body weight squats every time I go into the bathroom at work...ha ha! ;) Helps me keep loose from too much time sitting behind a desk too. But I also do Stronglifts 5x5 during the week, which has tremendously helped my glutes change shape, along with accessory work such as glute bridges and hip thrusts. But you…

Nice job! I started Stronglifts about 7 months ago and am up to 110 pounds for my reps. Feels like I could go heavier but haven't tested my 1 rep max yet, don't like doing that roll of shame. :p

Interesting link so far, only about halfway through but I'll be sure to finish it before my next lifting day. I'm about the same as you Llama, somewhere between a low and high, just where the bar and form feels most comfortable. I don't like low bar now that I'm hitting high weights (for me) because I feel like the bar…

Tonight's workout felt really good...powered completely by too much beer over the weekend I'm sure!!! Have to burn it all off now. Workout B: squats - 7,7,5 @ 135 pounds...again. Going to stay here one more time. They're feeling better but for some reason I get pretty light headed on those last two reps. Doesn't happen on…

I tend to eat a small handful of gummy bears about 15-20 minutes before my workouts. I feel like they help me get all the way through everything without tiring, but then again that could just be the old placebo effect kicking in. Either way, it gives me an excuse to eat gummy bears! @canadian - I think you might be right…

Oh My Freaking' G...!!! There are some truly amazing numbers in here. Go girls!!! These are all 3x5s (never have tested 1RM): Bench: 105 Squat: 145 Deadlift: 185

I can't believe it's Monday again already. Why can't weekends be longer? Seriously?! Haven't checked in with my last few workouts but I've still been keeping up with everyone's posts. Fantastic work everyone! So this is what my last couple of sessions looked like. On Friday I did workout A followed by some sprint…

Workout B for me tonight: squats - 7,7,4 at 130 pounds. Not sure what happened on that last set, it was really more of a mental failure than a physical one. Setup felt off so I quit there instead of trying to push out 3 more reps. OHP - 3,4,4 at 80 pounds...another epic fail. DL - 1x5 at 175 pounds. Piece o' cake, moving…

Most recently...at the airport getting on one of those parking shuttle buses to get back to my car. I had two pieces of luggage with me, both about 40 pounds or so. The driver opened the door and before he could even get out of his seat (they usually get up to lift your bags on for you) I stepped right up with one bag in…

Welcome back! I'm in the same boat, although I didn't get yummy buttermilk biscuits every day. It was rum instead for me. Just got back from 2 weeks in the Virgin Islands. The hotel I was in during the first week had a really nice fitness center, although it was mainly machines. :frown: The good thing was I had the place…

Hee hee hee, I'm still laughing...wimps! Got workout B done the other night. Last workout before going out of town for a couple of weeks. Nothing too exciting to report but wanted to get my last month of August check-in on the record! squats: 3x5 at 140 pounds OHP: 3,4,4 at 82.5 pounds DL: 1x5 at 180 pounds Headed…

Wow, you all have been so busy posting awesome workouts that I can't keep up!! Fabulous work everyone! :flowerforyou: Tonight was my first lifting workout in close to 10 days. Wasn't an intentional break but work and the recent social calendar have made for some crazy days lately. It felt good to get back to it today and…

@fittree - even your deload is impressive!!! Damn! Managed to squeeze in workout B yesterday. squats - 3x6 at 140 pounds. Trying to add a couple more reps to each set before moving up in weight to see if it helps the stall that has happened since switching to 3x5. OHP - 3,4,4 at 82.5 pounds. Boo, may have to deload again…

Yay to big girl weights!!

Well, I've been MIA for a little while but it looks like everyone's doing great! Had to take some time off due to some sort of pinched nerve right next to my shoulder blade. Happened last week during deadlifts on my third rep at 185 pounds. Had the weight up and was at the top of the lift, did a mental check of my shoulder…
