Try adjusting your settings on here to wear it gives you calories to gain 1-2 lbs a week. Make sure to account for your activity too.

Im new to maitenance so im still weighing daily to try to see what my normaly fluctuations are. I think once I get a good handle on that ill move to once a week.

Canadian...your post is SO on point! I remember (and this isn't years ago...this is within the year or two) feeling that if I could stay below 170 I was happy. When I started watching what I eat and being active my goal was 160 with an outside goal of 155. So now here I am with great energy, smaller clothes, more…

I'm glad....it's been really kind of neat to find someone in such a similar boat as me with goals, stats, etc! Maybe we just need some time to adjust to our new physical appearance to keep reminding ourselves that if we were in good shape 10-15 lbs ago it's kind of impossible to be in bad shape now :-)
-
Thanks..it's occurring to me I need to update my pic!
-
Opal..from your pic you look great! Congratulations on your weight loss success..that is incredible. I am 5 foot 8 and 150 so we have almost the same stats :-) Sometimes lately I've had to remind myself (OUT LOUD) that I was SO proud of myself when I hit 160 (my first goal as I really didn't think I'd get back to 150 when…

This really actually HAS been really enlightening! From seeing that others are going through the same thing (many at the same point in their journey) to being made to notice that the people (overweight and or naturally skinny) who chide me have common threads normally!
-
I think a lot of people have preconceived notions of what are or aren't healthy. During my journey I've had people get on me about eating something that isn't "on your diet." As long as you are tracking and keeping your calories in check for the WEEK..eat on whether it be carrot sticks, bread, or dessert.

Thank you to everyone for your comments and advice! I am going to continue with maintenance and have opted to try to focus on the non-superficial benefits I can see (I have more energy, my thighs aren't rubbing, etc.) Perhaps my head/brain just needs time to catch up!
-
I just reached maintenance this week too! Congratulations! I bumped up to 1300 this week and plan to go to 1400-1500 next week. My maintenance says 2100...sooo I'll be playing with the calories for awhile it looks like. My biggest obstacle is not getting upset with temporary fluctuations. Good luck!
-
I would do a cheat meal while losing...I was on 1200 calories and this would put me between 1200-1600 normally. If you are on maintenance....you're eating more to a range of calories and I don't know that a cheat meal or day would be that necessary.
-
I just started my maitenance too..congrats and good luck! I had almost the same bouncing as you did....and I am moving forward another 150 cals/day this week. I am going to use a 1 lb range for me right now and later a 2-3 lb range.
-
Thanks for the congratulations! I do like weighing daily to see what certain foods or habits do..and you're right..it's data...the more in tune I am with myself the better! Aylajane...that's a great idea too. I guess this means I get another 150 calories next week!
-
Ok so the main point to take away is that this is NOT gaining.. Would it be a better idea to weigh weekly instead of daily at this point or is the exact time I should KEEP weighing daily? I'm a bit over 5 foot 8 and 150 lbs...heavier then some might like but for me it equates to a healthy size 6-8. I workout 3-4 days a…

I almost forgot...I do stick to a 16/8 eating schedule. This means if I have my first bite at 8 am...my last is at 4pm. As a result, I normally eat breakfast at 9am-10am and don't have another morsel after dinner.

I have been doing intermittent fasting for 8 weeks and have lost 18 lbs. I will tell you some of the things I have done (as a mix of info on the website and suggestions from others) that I feel have made me successful. On my fasting days, I try to eat very clean. You can make your low cal/fast days out of whatever calories…

I'm interested in signing up! I have only been using MFP for the past week or so. If there is room, I'll volunteer for the gamemakers team..I LOVE a challenge!
