Another 5'2-er here!
-
That is awesome. Congrats on the work paying off!
-
I've been taking in 150 - 200 a day, by the looks of it. (I'm not a big veggie eater so carbs are going to be a big part of my diet.)
-
Awesome!!

It looks like good advice has been given so far, so I'll add that most business class hotels and probably most any hotel these days has a fitness room. If you spend a lot of time in a hotel, make use of these things. Balance out the calories you KNOW you're going to rack up with the dinners and the partying and get the…

Only been there once but it was v. good. I wasn't watching food and calories then, but it was somewhere I'd return to. Restaurants aren't diet/weight loss friendly in general from what I can tell, so I'm not overly surprised. And as I southerner, I pretty much expect that the better it tastes, the worse it is for you! :P

Another 5'2 here. I've been following the other threads - maybe you'd enjoy, too - http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/274070-5-3-what-is-your-goal http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/330366-5-0-5-3-what-are-your-goals

You have every right to be proud. All that work is showing up, big time.
-
I love looking at these threads.
-
That is awesome! Good work.

I chimed in on this thread, I think... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/274070-5-3-what-is-your-goal

Good job!

That is awesome.

Ditto on the people who stop and correct entries. If I find something out of date or incorrect, I just take the time to fix it. I figure that benefits everyone.

It takes forever for the inches to show up on me. It's just always been that way. I may get to notch my belt a bit tighter or get a little baggy in the jeans, but the measuring tape doesn't really move at first. I typically have to get down a good 10 - 20 lbs before I notice a marked difference, but then knowing this? I…

Mine's open to those friended. Diaries should be as open as the owner is comfortable with is my way of thinking. it's only when someone asks for help that I go truly rooting off in their business or attempting to give advice. I keep mine open to people I've friended because I think it's fair (being as I like seeing what…

"Dear diary: Today I was pompous and my sister was crazy..."

Good work. Sounds like you've really been focused! Keep up the good work and welcome!

I'm 5'2 and going to try to end up in the 120 - 125 range. A few years ago I was 116 -118 which I liked because my high school weight was 115 give or take. I figure wherever I end up, that as long as my BMI # and energy are good, it's a win.
-
I've been using Click. It does the job for the taste your looking for, I'd think. I get mine from Amazon.

Have you Googled "Mrs. Dash Marinade Calories" or anything like that to see if someone else has calculated it? Other times I do different searches here in the food database... "Mrs Dash" "Marinades" ... things like that?
-
Sadly, "starvation mode" is the only way I lose weight. Eh, guess we're all different.

I think the important thing is that you start, so you're headed in the right direction. :) Everything changed up when I hit my 40's so I'm using the MFP app and the site pretty religiously at the moment. That weight won't just fall off anymore, darn it! I looked at my BMR and calculated calorie limits with the tools on the…

Good post.

If you haven't used the Tools section to eyeball your BMI and BMR, that might help. I also depend on the smart phone features (charts and reports) a lot. Keeps me in line.

If you can quit smoking? Nothing is beyond you ... except maybe living forever. Don't forget that.
-
It's a lot harder to get it off than it was in my 30's. No doubt about it. The biggest thing? Don't give up. Keep at it until you find an eating plan/fitness lifestyle that works for you. Combining the mobile app plus the site features is definitely the best thing for me. The pie charts and reports from the app are…

I tend to set anything that's at what I consider a personal level open to "Friends Only". I don't mind sharing or I wouldn't be on the 'net, but I do like to know who has access. It's a comfort thing.
-
I tried the Pure, I think... whatever it was, it was supposed to be 'better" than the normal CL but I didn't care for the taste. The regular CL is the only "diet" flavoring I can stand. If I don't do that, I just do plain water. I don't like that weird aftertaste that comes with artificial sweeteners.

If you have access to the smart phone app for this site, use it. It makes it really easy to examine exactly where your calories are coming from. I recently realized I am not taking in enough protein but too much fat. While my numbers haven't dramatically changed, I'm going to alter my diet and see what happens. (Plus,…
