I've been on dialysis for almost 3 years and waiting on whether or not I will be listed on the transplant list again. This is my major health issue, but there are a few other minor issues that I have that are secondary to ESRD. I've gained about 40 lbs due to the dialysis solutions.

I made a yummy soup tonight. pkg Miracle Noodles 1 1/2 cups Swanson Chinese hot/sour broth a few fresh mushrooms 1/4 broccoli slaw 1/2 cup spinach Rinse the noodles under warm water few mins, then toss into pan with broth and vegetables and boil. Hi, You can add me as well. I don't have a disability that is visable to strangers. I am on dialysis and awaiting kidney transplant. Trying to lose weight before surgery.

Please check with your doctor and have your blood levels checked before embarking on a potassium rich diet. People with both normal functioning kidneys, the kidneys do their job correctly filtering and balancing minerals and fluid. You could cause more harm than good.

Not a myth!! I am a Type 1 diabetic, it is recommended when eating carbs to also consume protein with it to regulate insulin levels to prevent spikes. Another poster explains this very well.

Hi all! I'm 4'8. Just started here last week. At my highest I was 192, lost 50 lbs and gained 40 of it back due to Peritoneal Dialysis. Now I'm working to lose 50lbs again so I can get re-activated on the transplant list. Anyone here can add me, I'm always looking for people to inspire me and keep me on track :smile:
