I won’t be able to make my target this month :'( whilst running with my club on Tuesday I stumbled and hit the deck like a ton of bricks. I’ll admit it, I cried. I’ve got traumatic soft tissue damage to my left ankle - for the third time in 8 months. There’s some glorious bruising developing. ETA I have had it x-rayed and…

Oh my word …. What have they done? I thought I’d lost you. It looks like it’s been a good month in some ways. @Dave - I hope your time in the cabin with your buddy was great. It certainly represents an enormous step forward in your rehab. @Leanz - what an inspiring mountain. Does it have snow all year round? …. Did anyone…

@sufferlandrian - l cannot believe you are doing those kinds of shifts again. My heart breaks for you. I’m so glad you're getting some help so you get a break once in a while. I was intrigued, along with everyone else by “ I can ride home with no pants.” I did try to visualise you biking to work naked or in your underwear…

Striking for 50 this month. I’m hoping to restart running … C25k - I see you. I’m going to do some PT sessions as well to try and improve all round strength. If I don’t then my running will be a disaster. I’ve still to meet with my PT . I’ve been full of cold with a rotten sinus infection … now he’s full of cold! ETA…

Sorry about my continued absence … I’ve not had a particularly good couple of months between injuries, infections and an unwell OH. ETA I’m due to start a 6 week program with a PT to improve my strength for running … otherwise the injuries will stack up again. I do miss running :’( :'( My total for September is  52.2

I’m so sorry I’ve been absent. This month I’ve not been in a good place. My OH has really been struggling too with his right knee … barely able to walk half a mile :'( I have managed 51.3 miles this month. 12 miles from Aug 1st - 6th and 39.3 from 7th - 31st Aug. Still nursing an ankle injury so I’ll go for 40 again in…

The wedding pictures are beautiful - and you both look like the cat that got the cream, so happy. I’m so pleased that your surgery has gone well so far. You’ll be up and running soon! May I halve my mileage … I may be able to do 40 this month. Whilst tail walking at parkrun on Saturday I stumbled on the trail section and…

I’d like to try for 80 miles in August … I need to get my running mojo back. We had 2 weeks of HOT (for the UK and Lancashire) weather here in July and I couldn’t bear to run. My eldest grandson (6 3/4 years), his mum and her partner all got Covid and we had to isolate … imprisoned in my garden :* . Edited to add …. They…

OK … it important news that you got injured and I’m sending lots of healing virtual hugs …. BUT Congratulations on the wedding! I definitely missed that bit of information in the feed!! (Not a huge surprise given that I’ve been MIA). Have a wonderful day tomorrow and we want pictures of your special day B) <3 Edited to…

It seems like there have been a few exciting starts to July :) @JTH11706 and @darkrider42 - you do an awesome job keeping us in order. For July I’ll like to try for 85 …. I found 100 something of a stretch in June. My OH is having difficulty with the arthritis in his knees which is impacting on how much we can do :'( Have…

Thank you @darkrider42 and @JTH11706 for your tenacity - you make this group happen, whilst some off us (me) disappear for weeks on end! I’m starting my C25k this week (when I come out of isolation). So I hope to do 100 miles this month. Isolation has come about because I have spent today with my 1 year old grandson - who…

Thank you both for your hard work with this group - it’s really appreciated. I’m striving for 70 again this month. Me and him indoors have now both had both our Pfizer injections with little by way of side effects. The youngest of our two sons has now had his first - a call from his partners friend about unallocated…

The stability of my fracture has been a godsend. I’ve tried to do heel to toe walking each day and have started other flexion exercises. There is background pain, although I’m following a rehab plan specific to my injury .... I miss running. We have had good news this week. Our Local Authority has given its consent for the…

Susan - sending love and hugs for a speedy recovery. Don’t forget to take care of you too, so that you can take care of your OH. @Dean - thank you for the advice. I shall do my very best to follow it. Two and a half weeks later other aches are emerging as the primary pain reduces - how dare it!! I’m currently doing plenty…

I’ve been missing in action .... again. @Dave @Janet ... can I renegotiate my target? Two weeks ago, whilst hill walking, I stumbled. Net result ... an Avulsion (flake) fracture. This is a stable fracture, that hurts! Recovery is slow, but I’ll get there. I’m only just beginning to move again as the ‘boot’ is off. I…
