Even if you're eating "healthier" foods you still need a caloric deficit to lose weight... This is one thing that's lost in all of the different diets. Your body type may change if you eat different ratios but in order to actually lose pure weight, you have to take in less calories than you use.

When I was in weight loss mode I aimed for "lose two during the week, gain one back during the weekend."

I weight myself probably every other day and then once a month get body fat % tested to make sure it's trending down.

Shrugs can really be done on back or shoulder day (if you isolate). It's a good "vanity" muscle but it's also a good stabilizer and is useful for many upper back/shoulder exercises.

I think a good rule is to not care what people say on Internet comment boards. The Internet is a messed up place full of people who hide behind anonymity to be mean to others.

I thought it was disgusting because of the way it looks but my girlfriend convinced me to try it and I love it. It fills you up and has a ton of protein. I get the fat-free low-salt stuff.
