  • Thank you very much! My philosophy is the more positive thoughts out there the better! Truly truly thank you!
  • Congratulations! This is wonderful! My uncle is doing his best to kick his Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in the butt. He was diagnosed seven years ago and is in his third bout of battle. (He was in remission twice in the past) This time is really hard, and he has been in the hospital for months, and they don't know when he will be…
  • So I set the goal for myself this month to just maintain...I did not expect to lose anything but here I am down another two pounds. I haven't been going to the gym regularly with parties, and shopping to do, but I have been walking 2-3 times daily for about 15-20 minute stretches with my dog. Other than that I have been…
  • Absolutely possible. And you are most likely correct about the sodium and water retention...I used to work in the elder care field, and we would have individuals we had to weight daily due to heart disease...they would fluxuate between 3 and 5 pounds a day depending on what they had eaten...anything with high sodium…
  • Whole wheat noodles, and make your own sauce. Use low sodium ingredients and pack it with extra veggies and if you like meat sauce use lean ground turkey instead of beef or pork. If you want sausage instead most grocery store counters or your butcher make chicken italian sausage. And watch how much cheese you pile on top.…
  • 100 whopping sticks of butter...and more to come!
  • I am always glad to help if I can...I did just want to add I caught a major typo in my first response when I was reading your reply...I have lost 25 pounds not 325...sorry! However the rest is true. I believe that the lifting I have been doing has also helped to keep them "perky" so to speak rather than them going pancake…
  • Have you started concentrating on building up your chest muscles?? Pushups, pullups, rows, kickbacks, etc? When you look at athletes like gymnasts, swimmers, etc. you almost never see any with large breasts and that is because they have a low body fat percentage and work on developing and honing their muscles. I am not as…
  • I myself am in the middle of making a lifestyle change. I want to continue getting healthy and dropping my body fat % even after we are married...The fact that is was my upcoming wedding that motivated me to do it...honestly it shouldn't matter what motivates people to lose weight and get healthy as long as they aren't…
  • Add me if you would like! We are getting married in July 2014. I have lost 25 pounds and have my first goal set to be at 160 (19 more pounds to go!!!) by the time of my first alterations in April. You can do it! Hard work and determination will get you wherever you want to be! Get it girl!
  • They can take in a dress up to 2 sizes sometimes 3 without it altering the way the dress "looks" or running into issues. And it is always less expensive for them to size down than it is to size up. Bridal sizes are also notorious for being small...say if you are a size 10 normally expect to buy a dress in a size 12 or 14.…
  • I totally am! We are getting married on the 20th of July 2014. I already have my dress but have not started fittings yet...those start in April and I am DETERMINED to be down to my 1st goal weight by then. 19 pounds to go!!! Technically I don't care about weight as much as I do inches, but once I have lost 19 I will be in…
  • Abs are made in the kitchen...80% Diet 20% exercise. I still have a long way to go myself, but I didn't start losing my "tummy" until I cut out processed white carbs. I now try at least 90% of the time to only eat 100% whole grain and have stopped using processed sugars...honey, stevia, and real maple syrup for me now.
  • I don't know for sure as I don't have kids...but my chest (aka my armpit fat/extra boob overflow) is one of my trouble areas. Pushups of almost any variety are one of the best exercise for firming your chest area. Also if you have Pinterest...search for the tank top arms workout...it is a killer (especially when you do…
  • Oh I am so down...actually my goal is to be 160-150 by July 20 as that is when I am getting married (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but if I can bust it out by April that would be awwwesome! Add me if you would like.
  • Half water, half unsweetened vanilla almond milk, with a splash of sugar free peppermint syrup. If I am feeling really indulgent we go all out with real whipped cream and some green and red sprinkles.
  • You look great! Keep up the good work!
  • ^^ This...kind of...my fiance is a grazer...if he can see it he eats it, and it isn't even necessarily a conscious action. (Dam* his metabolism!!!!) Asking him to stop wasn't working so I now hide my low cal or special food. Almond milk is in the back of the fridge so he has to move his full gallon of regular milk to get…
  • My goal right now is 150 pounds. I will ideally shoot for about 130 but I feel like if I can get to 150 I will be a happy camper. Only 30 more pounds to go!
  • Go girl! I have gone from "obese" to almost the "normal" category! Almost there! You look awesome!
  • I haven't bought any, but I did have a girlfriend gift me with some jeans that were wayyy small (thank you for thinking I was smaller than I was!) I kept them one because they were designer and two because I was determined to fit into them. I put them on for the first time this week, and they buttoned and everything!
  • Super inspiring! Keep up the awesome work! I don't have the same level of pain you do, but I do suffer from chronic pain due to having spina bifida occulta. Many people that have it are asymptomatic but I get chronic low back pain which is often made worse when I lift and I am not able to "run". Just hearing what you go…
  • LOL...yep... Definitely cleaner than twinkies...especially if you don't employ the 5 second rule when they get dropped.
  • It is different for each person, but in general I feel, and this is just my opinion...not a professional here...the more you clean up your diet, the better your body is going to function. I simply don't have the willpower to be 100% clean all the time...I like cheese too much. I am currently maintaining about a 80% clean…
  • People will tell you soft foods like pudding and icecream, etc. For the first few days I could barely even stand water. I would stock up on Pedialyte to help consume the nutrients and electrolytes you need to stay hydrated...because if you are like me, you won't even want to eat the pudding.
  • WOW YOU GO GIRL! I started off at the same weight...I am 25 pounds down so I am halfway there! Super inspiring! Keep it up you look awesome!
  • I use Bob's Red Mill Whole Grain Waffle/Pancake mix and then I substitute half the oil for applesauce and all the milk for almond milk. I love eggs so I don't substitute anything for those. Usually I will use coconut oil for the other tablespoon.
  • Thanksgiving is decided due to having to work the day before and the day after and my parents living about 5 hours away....that one I can at least get my mom to understand...and we will spend Easter with them instead... it's Christmas that everyone is up in arms about. I have suggested splitting Christmas like I…
  • I discovered this a couple weeks ago...my hubby is now continually asking for it. I added tomatoes and carrots to the veggies for roasting. http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/clean-eating-roasted-vegetable-soup/
