on Friday last week i randomly had four separate people telling me i looked thinner. funnily i've been the same weight for over a month but it was nice to hear :D

wow, glad i had a look at this thanks! i found myself thinking, they're all smaller than me and then realised it may be that i think i'm bigger than i actually am! nice to see people have the same problem areas too. thanks for sharing :D

the nude ones for a wedding or somesuch, the white ones to somewhere you want to make more of a statement. both look good :)

i don't have a sleeve but i completely know where you're coming from - the diet chef adverts go on about how you don't feel hungry with their food. i'm not overweight because i feel hungry all the time, but because i like food and most of the time can't stop myself eating!! i find things like boiled sweets or chewing gum…

i know a few people who've been doing one or two 'fasting' days a week. some have lost weight, others not but the general concensus is that it makes them feel a lot better. research on people who fast does suggest reduced risk of cancers and alzheimers, but i think that's based on religious fasting. i'll do an occasional…

i have to say i started and got to a simliar level and had a break of a few weeks. i just skipped back a few weeks and it was fine. however, as it's been a while i'd say rather than do each one three times through, do them once each and you'll know when you get to the point you'll need to repeat a particular week.

thanks :) i much prefer people on here, always supportive! i also sit next to someone who lost 5 stone and kept it off through protein shakes and becoming a weight lifter, who says i'm making excuses if i say i don't want to go to the gym with her (i'm a home exercise dvd and running person) funnily i was speaking to…

totally agree about not weighing in that week. i get my period the same days of the week each month due to the pill and even though my weigh in day is after it's finished, i still tend to leave it a couple more days that week before weighing in!!

i definitely hate wasting calories when it doesn't taste nice! but i know what you mean - people often bring snacks into work like when they're back from holiday and you feel obliged to try them or they'll get offended!

my boyf's just gone off for a month so i've spent the last week not exercising and going out for food. wagamama on wednesday eve (though managed to not be hugely over cals), out for turkish on thursday, greek on friday, 30th birthday do yesterday and mum's birthday do this eve. i don't even want to weigh myself for a few…

i had to view the second pic on the original website as it went off the screen but i think your upper arms and waist have trimmed up. if you aren't seeing results, i highly recommend taking measurements and saving them on here - you can add different body areas too (as i hate that my upper arms don't seem to be doing…

i lost 4 stone in 2011 and last year i gave up for most of it. i had huge willpower in 2011, and wanted to lose the weight. last year i put on a bit of weight and still fit in my clothes, so i thought, ah doesn't matter too much. kept going on and off here, doing a bit of exercise, stopping. i just didn't want to do it…

oh MY god,you look amazing. (i am so jealous of your will power)

in the UK they have alpen light bars which are less than 70 cals and feel like you're having a chocolate bar (and a square of choc is pretty much that calories) - they do double choc, choc fudge etc. i also replace proper crisps with either airy crisps (quavers/skips etc) as they're lower cals, or even better is with rice…

i think the fact that you've realised it and asked for help/if people have had the same is a positive step already. definitely suggest vitamin D and i think start your exercise back slow with a short jog or small amount of cardio in the house and see how you feel. i find it daunting to start up again, but several times…

i do a kickboxing dvd (10 minute solution bootcamp) which has sections that are mainly punching or kicking without too much jumping. i definitely get a cardio workout doing punches, and you can hold dumbbells too (or a tin of soup!)

i completely agree - i don't understand why i will just carry on eating. i lost about 4 stone in 2011, then last year i pretty much gave up as i thought 'oh it was easy to lose...' my will power just went, and if i had a day not logging food, i absolutely binged as i was sort of preparing to start a diet again. worst was…

sorry if other people have said this, but some cheaper models don't record HR if it goes under certain BPM. i asked a friend recently for advice on HRM and she said she bought three cheap ones at around £20 each, which were rubbish and didn't do the job, then bought polar FT4 for £55 which she loves.

you are my goal - from 200lb, goal of 140 and currently 170. you are very inspiring, thanks :D (and look amazing too!)

i get one every 2 weeks and tend to spread them out over a few days. i know you can probably make them up cheaper yourself, but i'm lazy with weighing foods out and buying many things to mix up the combinations. really handy when you fancy something different/nice/good for you (ish) and you can look up the cals easily. but…

i'd say eat what you feel comfortable with for dinner on the fast day, and average it out by eating slightly more the day before and after if you're under calories. as someone has suggested, check your weekly average rather than daily totals. hope it goes well :)

amazing, well done! :D

if your exercise involves increasing muscle, you can stay the same weight but still get smaller - i recommend taking measurements and seeing if you are losing and it's just not showing on the scales. i put loads of extra measurements on mine - belly, thighs, arms etc. it makes me feel better to know i'm decreasing in size…

i like the 30 day shred, and my boyf does it as well (even though she refers to 'us girls' all the time). it's 20 mins so is good if you're busy. but i like to mix it up with some general cardio in between, as just doing the 30DS makes you lose size but not weight which can be depressing (i know it's the muscle gained that…

if you're in the UK, alpen light chocolate and fudge and double choc bars are less than 70 cals each and feel like you're having a 250+ cal choc bar. i also replaced crisps with lightly salted rice cakes.

hi, i'm 5'5 and lost 50 pounds last year from around 200 pounds: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/414511-50lb-down-wanted-to-show-my-pics though my advice is to stick at it and log everything you eat - i gave myself a lot of cheat days this year (if you don't log them, the calories don't count, right?!) and needless…

just had a nosey at your diary - gotta love the alpen light bars, they are GENIUS!

courgette = zucchini (i'm pretty sure!)

hello! i was around 205 pounds when i started in january last year. i managed to get down to 155 by the end of the year - here are my pics if you want to see... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/414511-50lb-down-wanted-to-show-my-pics as you said, at 5'5 i should be aiming for 140, which is what i'm planning on doing…
