I'm curious if you ever got rid? or reduced? I'm also looking for bingo wing success stories!!

I lost 50lbs in about 11 months, and that was with holidays 'off' so I think it is achievable. One thing I'll add is that it will come off quickly at first and slower the closer you are to your goal so don't expect it to be linear (my mistake for guessing my 'goal' date!) good luck :)

Completely agree with Alyssa above - I lost a big lump at first and then it slowed and came off sporadically. I got obsessed with weighing myself every day and got disheartened when it didn't - I was trying to get below 14 stone at the time. I decided to not weigh myself for two weeks, and when I did, I'd got below that 14…

I've pretty much always bought everything in charity shops anyway, but it was really useful when losing weight - chuck out the old ones because you WON'T need them again and buy new ones that fit. It's very motivating! If you're not that happy buying used clothes, it's only until you're at the size you want to stay and…

I hear ya - I lost 4 stone in 2011 (from 15 stone), had a break over Christmas and allowed myself to put half a stone back on. As I still fitted in the same clothes after that, my mind decided that was ok and by the end of the year I was 3 stone up from my lowest. Over the last few years I've gone on and off eating well…

oh, found my original post with photos in case anyone was interested! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/414511-50lb-down-wanted-to-show-my-pics

hey, i'm hypo and i lost 50lbs over the course of a year (ok, i've put 15lb back on with being rubbish, but it is doable). Have a look at my profile pics - the one with the donkey is starting weight (near 200lb) and the christmas pic is lowest weight (near 150lb) hope it's motivating!

Sorry, i don't know but you'll probably have better luck posting in the 'fitness/exercise' section, or even the gaining weight section. Also, this group is very helpful: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/10118-eat-train-progress

yes, when i first did 30DS i lost 2lbs in the first day or two and then put it back on and stayed at that for the next 2-3 weeks. i was losing size though and had comments that i looked more toned. i'd advise taking measurements now and retake them each week. good luck :)

i have my diary open to friends as i like to get food ideas (and be nosey) from my friends' diaries. it does bug me sometimes when i see 'so and so completed and was under' with a closed diary - especially when they complete their diary at 10am! i feel that having my diary open makes me more accountable but it has…

definitely happens to me sometimes. i find it most demotivating to eat well if people tell me i look good or that i've lost so much weight (i'm down from my highest, but still a stone and a half up from my lowest). i've started to be a bit less strict now and not worry about off days. i figure if i can eat well for most of…

i lost 4 stone and had some time off logging over christmas, then got lazy getting back on and before i'd paid attention i'd put over 2 stone back on again. i'm now at a stage where i think 'i've done it before, it's easy' - except i don't stick to it now. how i wish i'd carried on logging at maintenance for that…

i completed it last year and used the free pod casts - it got me running (jogging) 30mins continuously. i mapped the run and i had run 3 miles which is about 4.8k other people have answered the other question!
-
feel free to add me - i log on most days and could also do with the motivation haha!

i'm not sure if it is on the app, but if you log on via the internet (which you can do on your phone though it'll all be really tiny), go to Home --> Check-In, under the table is a link 'edit previous entries' - you can either edit old ones or add a new start weight at the bottom.

wow, amazing inspiration! well done you :)

sometimes it gets to me, but not as much as it used to. i get surprised when i hear people i consider average or even thin are weightwatchers members or fasting to lose weight. i noticed a few weeks ago that i'm easily the fattest person at my zumba class, but most of them probably think they're huge. these days i don't…

my name's spelled mariane but pronounced marion, and used to be uber-obsessed with tolkien. now just moderately obsessed and the username has stuck!

i'm 5'5, nearly a stone heavier than you and i wear a bikini. but not to work.
-
someone may have said this already but when i did 30DS i lost a couple of pounds in the first few days and then no weight loss at all for three weeks. i was losing size though definitely. i'd recommend doing some measurements now and checking every week or so - it's amazing how much size you can lose without losing any…

i started because i got on the scales and was nearly 4 stone heavier. i carry on now because: - i feel and look better - impending type 2 diabetes - i have an ambition to dress as seven of nine for halloween...

yes, i've had this! particularly noticeable when at zumba or jogging (i actually said at zumba last week i need a sports bra for my belly!) i'm still up on my lowest weight though, and when i was at a lower weight it had firmed up more. from reading previous threads, when fat cells empty they fill with water and your skin…

my weight loss is slower this time around, but i think mainly because i keep getting in the 'i did it before, i can do it again' mentality and have a day off, then a weekend off, then a bit more... not saying that's what you're doing, but i know i put way more effort in the first time around. wish i could get that long…
-
here to say, i agree!
-
don't be discouraged, i was up half a stone with my last TOM. also any day eating take away or high sodium type foods make my weight jump around all over the place. definitely stick with patience, and also learn to rely on the tape measure and the fit of clothes over the scales.
-
there was a point at work where if i ate a biscuit, i'd get the snidey 'oh, does that fit in your calories then?' and 'i thought you were on a diet' after a few times saying yes they gave up. totally agree with all the previous posts too - assuming you've given up, DEFINITELY!
-
i'd say definitely do some gym times if you feel up to it, to keep your fitness levels up. hope your thyroid settles down soon x EDIT: just seen the other post, yes what they said - after i started taking meds for my hypothyroid i still put on 2 stone the next few years by eating too much and not exercising. the magic…

i'm 5'5 and a bit, currently at 176lbs and because of my shape (hourglass with 32H on top) i get stretchy UK size 10/12 to fit at my waist and wear a vest under to cover my boobs! trousers i'm in size 12. i'm not really sure where all my weight sits as i've been in a size 12 trousers/jeans everywhere from 180lbs to my…

i have really struggled too ever since christmas! i've been flicking around between 5:2, increased weight training, different levels of calorie deficit but nothing is sticking. i think because though i've put weight on, i haven't gone up a dress size so i'm still pretending it's fine... well today i decided to go back on…

if you're in the UK, alpen light bars are less than 70 cals and you can get double choc, choc orange and choc fudge flavours. also i get things like penguins and 2 finger kit kats and eat them really slowly!
