Caffeine is a psychoactive stimulant(similar to amphetamines, e.g, adderall) It's not a surprise that it causes you to be dizzy, you're consuming a drug that alters the way your brain functions. Just avoid it.

More power to her, was following a school bus the other day home(sigh) and almost all the kids that got off were obese or at least overweight. If you don't want your kid to get letters, stop sending them around to beg for candy.

Maybe not so obvious, but, stay busy. I used to eat a lot more but now I go to school full time, work full time, go to the gym 4 days a week and have a lot of other things to take care of. I usually have ~900 calories logged at the end of the day and have to eat something big.

I've seen a lot of women go to the gym and do nothing but stare at guys while all dressed up. It's kind of creepy.

Get the proteins/fats you need and fill the rest with carbs. Most journals I've checked get nowhere near enough fats.

get a PT Everyone seems to hate on them for some reason, but there's no way you'll learn proper form without one if you're completely green. Make sure it's a PT that actually wants to help you learn the exercises instead of putting you on a dumb routine they made though.

Why not just budget the pizza as is? You don't have to eat the entire thing... A lot of people around here already eat "cheat meals" regularly and are losing weight.

I've never had a cheat day. Budget the meals into your calories, the only person you're cheating is yourself.

Before hopping right into surgery how many of you tried to exercise and wait a year or two? And I mean really exercise, as in, strength training with free weights.

digital scales aren't accurate. If you have something heavy that you know the weight of(e.g, I often have 80lb bags of concrete around my house) you can use them to see which one is more accurate. If you want your weight accurately, buy one of those scales you see at a doctor's office. They cost $100+.
