Fad diet, the benefits are that when you don't consume carbs it becomes very hard to eat a large amount of calories. You'll see no extra benefit from normal calorie counting unless you have a medical condition.

You're counting your calories wrong, starvation mode is a myth unless you're at 5% bodyfat which is the point where your body is going to start consuming your muscles and you'll look like you were just in a POW camp. Consider getting transferred to cart pusher if you want to burn calories, I used to do a while back and it's pretty much cardio the entire time. side note: you get treated the same way you got paid. I doubt cashiers are much different in that regard, though.

I use a refillable oil sprayer(not the pam kind, I don't enjoy aerosol in my food.) with olive oil in it and simply weigh the before and after to figure out how much oil I used. I find it much easier than measuring it out in a tbsp and it spreads much more evenly across the pan.
