  • I use to LOVE running first thing in the moring before work, around 5am! Get up with the sun. HOWEVER I've turned into a gal who NEEDS her FULL 8 hours of sleep and with two kids, getting up at 5am and having a proper night's rest for my body is hard. Recently I've been having my workouts at the gym in the mornings, and…
  • I'm sorry that I don't have an answer for you: BUT I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. I drink about 4-6 liters of water a day (my body is happy to be hydrated) and experience the very.same.thing. SO frustrating when I get up several times a night to pee (or many times during the day) and am still thirsty : / I also watch my sodium…
  • To get my omega's and DHA in-I take UDO's oil. 1tbsp in the morning and one at night. Noooooo fish!
  • I'm in a similar situation to you. I'm 5'6ish and 188 wating to loose about 45lbs-I have my calories set at 1,300 a day. I also work out about 5-6 days a week and I have a VERY hard time eating the calories let alone what I burn during a workout. Before I was on MFP I'm sure I ate well over 2,000 calories so I've reduced…

  • Organic Tofu!!! It's flavorless and you can buy it in different consistencys like extra firm (my favorite!!!) or silk (almost like a liquid-throw it in a smoothie..or add a tsp of caco powder or blend with berries for a fun pudding!!)

  • I love this advice!!! I remember when I was a child and my Ma would start a new healthy eating program...I'd be SO stoked to eat the food with her, it was SO MUCH BETTER than the Kraft Dinner I was use to. Two Words: PITA PIZZAS!!!!! I live with two children under seven and make their dinners. Sometimes what I eat and what…
  • Ok...so net calories are the difference between the total calories I've consumed and what I've burnt off...and it is reccomended that I eat some of them? I'm sure MFP explained this to me when I joined two years ago..but I'm re-figuring this calorie counting thing out..it is a newer concept to me.
  • To make a long story short: yes, personally I have. The fronts of my thighs are coated in the damn stuff-my bum as a moderate amount..my hips a bit and even some on my arms. Last year when I lost 50lbs through diet and lifestyle..I definitly lost some cellulite all over!!! The more I workout and drink water, the more I…
  • YES!!! Me too!!!!!! Vegetarians are sexxxy...and protein challenged hah (at least I am  ) I was a strict vegan for a year, felt great. • Wow you folks, thank you so much for the support. I will open up my food diary for sure-but I've only updated it yesterday and for today. I'm back at mfp so it's not really reflective yet. I realize 1,000 calories burnt in cardio sounds like I could be over doing it but I don't think so..it's only about an hour and fifteen…
  • You can make your own solution with like, apple cider vinegar (smells nicer than white vinegar, antibacterial), lavender, tea tree oil, orange oil in a base of distilled water. Add to a spray bottle and whipe down after every workout :)

I'm the same age as you and have constantly battled…
  • YES! Almond Milk is amazing
  • Ditto on the Stevia. ALSO- there's this honey type of stuff called Agave Nectar. It's juice from the cactus plant and does NOT effect blood sugar levels, so it's totally G.I friendly. I would highly reccomend this for green tea. :)
  • Spaghettie squash is such a lovely alternative to pasta. It's really nice if you crush some baked garlic ontop with some grapeseed oil and black pepper. Also delish with pesto!!!
