  • well, after endless basic training you move into hypertrophy, which i'm guessing is lower rep/higher weight. but yeah, i'm with you--i feel like a sissy when I have to use 10 lb weights, but I can't do two sets, 15 reps each of lunges with shoulder press with anything heavier!

  • I think it's the knowing that I can is what I want, rather than trying to get much out of it. These 15 rep sets don't allow for much increase--I miss the sets of 4 or 8. I probably should have pushed harder then! I forgot I had stuff until after 5 tonight so the moonshine will have to wait until Friday!
  • I'd love for my new year's resolution (that is, going into our year 2) to be to find my personal bests, and not be such a chicken about going to the gym just to do that.   • Split squat is the weighted stationary lunge. I did 70 on those, 15 reps each leg. For the pull downs I only do 40. it's not hard to pull, but keeping stable is difficult.

  • I'm always sore after a workout, but those plank pull downs work muscles I don't use that much so I really feel it. Back in tomorrow! I didn't get to exercise today as time with students took longer than expected. Despite my muffin, I'm still under for today! Lol.
  • I ate a whole pumpkin cream cheese muffin. I meant to cut it in half so I'd get a little cream cheese in two servings. but I ate the bottom while working on something and still wanted the top. I might have ruined my lunch :)
