  • Hard boiled eggs! Had no time for breakfast OR lunch today but I had a few minutes to spare between meetings. I wolfed down two eggs and they were just enough to tide me over until I could have a proper late lunch.
  • Realizing that it’s okay to throw food away instead of eating it out of guilt about being wasteful. It’s not like I can donate two pieces of leftover pizza. Better to put them in the trash instead of in my body when I’m not even hungry.

  • After I made myself a salad and sandwich, I put everything away and tidied up the kitchen before sitting down to eat. I've noticed that I tend to take a few more nibbles here and there (and not log them) when I put stuff away after dinner and this was a good tactic to prevent that.

  • Paradoxically, what worked for me today was not working out. My appetite skyrockets when I do cardio and then I overeat and make excuses. I took off a week from working out, dropped my calorie intake by 200, and finally saw the scale move.
