I made this one in the week, nice recipe but serves 6-8 servings and lasts 2 days in the fridge, 67 cals if serving 8 or 89 cals if serving 6. Hairy Bikers roasted red pepper hummus recipe. 2 large roasted red peppers (skin off after roasting) 1/2 small onion finely chopped 1tbsp olive oil 1 heaped teaspoon coriander 1…

I'm allergic to grapefruit. I've got all the other intolerances under control now but it was a long a haul and total dedication to frustrating exclusion diets and food recording. Mine were tomatoes, white wine, citric acid, citrus fruits, vinegar, wheat - try buying ANYTHING that doesn't contain citric acid! Currently the…

Agree, it won't change the fat but it will tone the arms! And just to add to my advice, don't use heavy weights or you'll increase the size of the muscle over time which could give even bigger arms (and when you lose tone later in life there'll be saggier skin) - stick to low weights or none at all.

As most people say you can't target that fat but you can do specific exercises to tone them up - do a google for tricep kickbacks and tricep extensions, you'll know it works when you feel how tiring they can be! Also, you don't need to use weights, there's a little exercise you can do throughout the day that helps too,…

Projected weight loss from what I enter adjusts the loss per week but I can't edit the calculations to switch to give me goals to achieve a pound a week rather than calories determining what the projection will be…

Oh I've so been there Becky! There is light at the end of the tunnel but I'm afraid it takes a lot of effort and you have to be prepared to cook all your own meals - it's actually what triggered my love of cooking (eventually!) I'm pleased to say I've managed to reintroduce almost all of the foods I was intolerant to (not…

I started MFP this week too :) though I'd been doing the Hairy Bikers diet last week as a kick-start. I don't eat processed foods and struggled to think of healthy things to top me up to 1200 calories seeing as I've reduced the amount of olive oil I regularly use drastically. I've found the actual nutrition data very…

You say you don't like to cook but honestly you'll enjoy your food far more if you do. I've been following the Hairy Bikers diet book for a week and it kicks tarted me into signing up here, it's good! My dinner tonight was tesco steamed salmon (1 from a pack of 2) with skin removed, flaked, and thrown in a frying pan with…
