Always up for new friends, especially those in the UK who are middle aged like me

I am grateful that sweet potatoes exist, as my partner is allergic to normal potatoes. In the UK I can find the orange fleshed type (great mashed or roasted with salt and rosemary), and sometimes a variety with purple skin and pale flesh. Just have to balance the sweetness when using in a meat n 2 veg type meal!

I am going to stick to my calories every day for 300 days in 2016. If you can support me and want my support back, please add me as a friend!

Yes. I am going to attempt this too. It's pretty much a pound a week. Good luck. If anybody would like to add me as a friend, please do :-)

Oh my. I recognise myself in a lot of that!

I have damaged cartilage in one knee which makes it hard for me to do forward lunges. However I find that I can do static or backwards lunges; it doesn't seem to put the same amount of force through my bad knee.

Unfortunately when we lose weight we empty out our fat cells, they don't actually disappear. Then they lie there in wait, sending hormonal signals out to try to get refilled, so it's very easy to pile the weight back on really quickly.

Are you me? Because apart from your height our stories are exactly the same! I'm eating around 1700 for a pound a week loss.

Hi! I'm in South Yorkshire and keen to add people who will let me stalk their food diaries so that I can pick up some tips!

Great advice, thanks.
