My simple advice is to find a sport or pastime you love, and do it daily. (Needs to be something that increases your heart rate and preferably uses your legs obviously).

It's muscle weight, a whole load of weight will probably fall of in a few days!

I know a nurse that insists that 3 ripe kiwi fruit can be a great mild laxative. It seems to work for me, plus any fruit containing very small seeds such as strawberries work best, then the water too.
