  • That's what I'm going to attempt, It will just be one day a week of no logging, just quick adding! That's probably the only thing that's better about the MFP iphone app than using a computer, you can see your weekly average calories and macros etc. and it tells you how much you are under/over on your calories for the week…
  • Ahh, I didn't mean I would have an "extra" 3000 cals, I meant for that day I would have 3000 cals i.e. my 1600 recommended cals plus the 1000 I "earned" through exercise and the 400 cals I didn't use on the four days I ate 1500 but now I've confused myself. I understand that these are just approximations even though I'm…
  • I understand that it will fluctuate and I have a sort of 5lbs window that I'm happy for my weight to stay between.
  • This is what I've been trying and it's working so far so fingers crossed that the dinners out don't ruin it! This seems the best way for me.
  • I have a PolarFT4 Heart Rate Monitor that says I burn 500+ calories in just over an hour of cardio. I still take this an an overestimation though because I know it seems high so I don't eat them all back. Like I said in my OP, I eat about 100 or so calories more on gym days than non gym days. I'm going to invest in a…
  • I'm 5'10 and everything that fits me around the way, comes up short on me. *deep sigh* But still, I wouldn't make myself any shorter if given the option!
  • For Lent I am giving up food shopping - like I am a serial food hoarder. I buy so much and it either ends up going to waste or I find myself forcing myself to eat the same thing everyday for about a week before it goes out of date. I'm a nightmare.
  • Added! Also trying to maintain my weight - technically, I could stand to gain a couple of pounds but I'm still trying to work out my calories
  • 22, Glasgow, Scotland
  • Welcome back! Wishing you the best of luck on your weight loss journey
  • That's true, my calories aren't exactly on the 1500/1600 mark every day. Thanks for your help! I'm going out with my boyfriend and my parents on Sunday to a Fish and Chip style restaurant - I've been before and the portions are huge! I read somewhere, and when I entered it into MFP, that the average fish supper has about…
  • Welcome back! Feel free to add me, I'm currently trying to transition to maintenance but I could definitely use some friends for motivation!
  • Good for you, deciding to come back! I'm 5'10 and when I started my journey I was around about the same weight as you. I know how tricky it is trying to lose weight being in a relationship - especially when my boyfriend has a crazy good metabolism and can eat what and when he likes and still have the figure of a stick…
  • Thanks for the add! I feel that. I wanted to wait until after the new year to start upping my calories but with Christmas coming up, I thought I would start upping them back in November so that I can enjoy myself more through the festive season! Should hopefully be up between 1450 and 1500 by Christmas Day. :)
  • I probably fit into this category now and I'm looking for some maintenance friends! My stats: Age: 22 Height: 5'10 SW: roughly 180lbs CW: 117lbs Technically for my height I'm underweight, but I've only just started upping my calories and I'm hoping to maintain around 120-125lbs. I try to work out 3x per week. 20 minutes…
  • Thanks guys! I went and did my usual cardio and just made it an arm day  I think going to the gym helped ease the pain a bit so I'm glad that I did, definitely going to be keeping up the squatting! Again, thanks for all the tips :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks for all your tips! I'm definitely going to look into getting a better strength/weight programme in place and lower my time spent doing cardio per week!
  • Ah thanks! Yes, I've read elsewhere that the tummy's usually the last to go but I thought sit ups would help it along and that I was holding myself back by not doing them! I'll definitely look into Pilates and work on my patience
