For me, I started at 196, and people started to comment when I hit 175. From there on every ten pounds or so someone would comment that I'd lost more weight.

They likely notice and are just not saying anything. I've caught people at work looking me over and doing a double take, but they wouldn't mention that I looked like I'd lost. Some people are just jealous, and other people might feel it's too personal of a thing to comment on.

Yes, it's totally possible to lose with just counting calories. I lost my first 20 that way, and then I started walking. Did no other exercise besides walking and and I lost another 30.

I tried keto for a few weeks a couple years back and broke out in the worst acne ever. It all cleared up when I quit keto.

It's probably different for everyone, but I personally find that when I'm lacking on sleep I'm hungrier and tend to gravitate towards carby and sweet things. When I've slept adequately I don't have those cravings, and find it much easier to abstain.

Those liquid calories get you every time. Just kicking soda and sweet tea makes a huge difference. I used to love soda, sweet coffee drinks, milkshakes, etc, but when I think of all the things I could eat instead of drinking those things I don't miss them at all.

My moment came when my doctor told me I was prediabetic. I was also beginning to snore, something I've never done unless I was sick with an upper respiratory infection. After I dropped 20 pounds and remedied those issues, it was the realization that I COULD do it, as well as vanity that spurred me on to lose the rest.
