Currently at 184. My ideal is to lose 50lbs. The closest I've ever gotten was 154... But life happened and put me back into the 180s

If you want an energy boost, drink more coffee. I takes caffeine supplement cause I don't like having to pee every hour.

Already bought myself a 6 week boot camp for post holiday *kitten* kicking! Aiming for another 20 to start 2015 off. But to focus on the 10-20 id like to lose before the end of 2014.

For me, it was cutting calorie corners where I could. Like not getting cheese on sandwiches or burgers, not eating one of the buns, or even just eating half the meal when I went out and save the other half for another meal. Another thing is watching your sodium intake. It's not fat weight, but you'll feel less water bloat…

I lost 20 lbs last year and that messed up my cycle. I'm even on birth control so I can track accurately when it will come and it's been the same since I've started taking it. It's been several years of regular flow. When I lost the weight, my period just didn't come at all. Don't freak out. Your body just has to adjust.…

I too struggle with snacking while I study. I'll let you know when I find the remedy lol. For now, calorie counting/logging helps. Perhaps brushing your teeth? Or chewing gum?

Never! Don't drink because it's a certain time of day or day of the week. Have a drink when you feel like you really need one.

Count me in! I need to be held accountable! Started at 173, lost 20lbs last years, gained back 10, so I would like to lose at least that 10 by the end of the year. So as of today, Height 5'3" SW 162 Goal: 152-142

I used to be all about fad diets. Among the many, I've tried hCG and thought it was working to curb my appetite to maintain the 800 cal daily or whatever it was. Well, I can tell you that I did lose the weight, but it was for so little, I can't remember how much I lost or how long it stayed off. Anyone eating an a deficit…

Back and shoulders are areas where my fat left first. If only I can get it to get off my belly! Too bad we can't pick and choose

My stomach turns into a black abyss few days before. It's actually amazing how much I could eat and not feel full. It's always a struggle every month. I remind myself my body isn't really that hungry and doesn't need it. I drink more water to feel satisfied after meals and try to grab good snacks if I'm feeling nibbly.…

I always give it away. It's a waste to throw it out. And I will keep a small box for myself to treat myself. No more than one or two a day. It's amazing how long a box of chocolates can last when rationed!

I had the flex and it's not as intuitive as I had hoped it to be on its own but it's done its job very well in keeping me motivated throughout the day. It's only useful of you check the app though because there's no screen or visible indicator other than5 blinking lights to let you know your progress. I'm not sure it's…

Hello billionth timer! Lol. I was in the same. I did the hcg diet, herbalife, weight loss pills, lemonade cleanse. You name it, I've tried it. Nothing has kept me going like MFP. Not even so much the social part of it but just logging in and of itself. I also have a fitbit that keeps me motivated and reminds me that I'm…

I'm in the same predicament about the Flex and Force. I have the Flex now and I really like it. I only like the Force for the time display because I also don't climb stairs. I saw the Force and I think it's a bit big for girls. The wristband is wide and doesn't look at discreet like the Flex is. I will say, it's not always…

I also cook for my boyfriend and usually, I'll cook the same thing but add more umph to his by adding cheese or more carbs like potatoes or bread on the side. An dog course, I give him bigger portions than mine so neither of us have to get seconds. He doesn't like to eat healthy so I like to stuff veggies into his food as…

I have a fitbit flex and I like it. It's just a fancy pedometer, but I like seeing the stats. Even if they aren't accurate and to the t, I think it's been useful in keeping me motivated and constantly keeping in mind my goal by checking the app. I don't mind the manual input because its the same information I would be…

Very well could be sodium. It takes DAYS to recover from it. I take potassium supplements and drink a lot of water to keep that from happening. I try to keep my sodium intake minimal.

Thanks for the support :). Yeah I'm cooking up thanksgiving dinner as I do every year and I can't hell but want to cook healthy meals for my sake and for theirs too! Graham crackers on top sound so good but I don't buy inessential carbs like crackers lol. I try to cut carb corners wherever I can. I'm a sucker for carbs.…

Well the difficulty sounds reasonable! Hopefully it won't be under construction for long. I actually don't defrost the grapes completely. They are delicious as frozen treats. Well, the green ones anyway. Haven't tried red ones frozen. I'm a sucker for sweets and they taste like sorbet bites without added sugar or added…

Hey there! I'm a 24 year old on a similar journey. Not in grad school yet but I am in the process of applying right now. Do you live at home? I think a big part of adding more fruits and veggies into your diet is having the ones you like always readily available. My fridge is always stocked with apples and I pre wash…

I'd say at this point, being November 12th, I think 10 lbs is more realistic. Though MFP tells me the way I'm going, I'll be down 20 in 5 weeks, which is about Christmas time.
