  • 5'1" here, and hoping to lose 30lbs (SW 161lbs, GW 130lbs). I've lost 8lbs so far, but I can see it's going to be a long road. I just need to remember that I'm nearly 1/3 of the way there already. I can't see myself looking good at less than 125lbs, so I think that will be my absolute lower limit.
  • I had to buy new high heels because my old ones are too big now. I'm no longer 'the fat girl' in the photo. I can wear sexy dresses on a night out without feeling out of place. When I meet people I haven't seen since school they're genuinely surprised at how much better I look.
  • I remember reading a quote from Kelly Osbourne where she said that when a fat person loses lots of weight, they'll still see themselves as fat, no matter how slim they are now. I think that's so true. I was roughly nearly 160lbs when I was 17; now, even though I still want to lose weight, I'm 20lbs lighter than I was back…
  • Try the TDEE-20% for a couple of weeks and see if you get a loss. If not, maybe reduce the calories gradually until you start losing, slowly and consistently. I eat 1200 a day but my TDEE-20% is 1577; I find it hard to lose at anything about 1200, from experience. But I'm a 5ft 1" female at 137.2lbs so I don't need as many…
  • I first started logging with MFP in late 2011, and in combination with taking medication which made my moods very low, I ended up severely restricting my calories (less than 900cals a day). I lost weight quite slowly; I went from 140lbs to 126lbs in about seven months. I wasn't anorexic, but I was heading down that road.…
  • Rachel Bilson, but with bigger boobs
  • I weigh myself because I need to be accountable to something, I need to see my progress. And it's a great motivator when I get on the scales and the number is smaller than last week. The hard part is not getting disheartened when I put on weight; it puts a downer on me for the day.
  • I'm 5ft 1" as well, and as much as I'd like to be 110lbs or less, it'll probably never happen. I have wide hips, a big bottom and big boobs; I'm not built to skinny. My target is 126lbs with anything under that being a bonus, but I would probably have to starve myself to get to the lower end of the healthy BMI range.
  • I eat fairly well during the week, averaging 1100-1250 calories a day, and I do light exercise. But I do have a few treats at the weekend, to keep me sane! I've only been dieting for 2 weeks so I can't say if it's working for me yet, but I am nearly 2lbs down, with only 11lbs more to lose to get to GW. I tend not to eat…
  • I set my cals at 1350 two weeks ago and I lost nothing. Then last week I brought them down to 1200 and I lost 1.6lbs. I ate back some exercise calories but not all of them. My measuring might not be exact, but my TDEE is actually 1972 with light exercise, so any discrepancy in measurements is more than accounted for.…
  • Khloe Kardashian with dark hair
  • I'll give it a try, thank you!
  • I think I am prone to low blood sugar so that could be an explanation for it
  • Thanks for your reply :) I don't eat a huge amount during the day as the dinners I've prepared this week are both ~450calories. But breakfast and lunch are both usually around 250 calories each, and then I have some snacks too. It's possible that I could be running on empty though; I tend not to eat back my exercise…
  • I enjoyed my run yesterday, and I actually want to go again today! Although this is kind of helped by the sunny weather in Ireland! Also, I'm struggling to finish my porridge in the mornings; I used to be able to eat the whole lot but it looks like my appetite is shrinking.
  • The first places people notice weight loss on me are my legs and collarbones. When I was 126lbs, my mum said my legs had gotten almost too skinny. Eventually the weight starts coming off my hips, but it takes forever to lose it from my tummy (my problem area) My boobs do tend to get a little smaller, but not significantly.…
  • I just did L1D2 today, so I'm still at the very start. I hurt, everywhere! I'm going to take some before photos at the weekend; if I want to give up, then hopefully seeing some progress will keep me going. I plan on interspersing the 30DS with jogging, and I'm trying not to eat back my exercise calories. Best of luck with…
  • To not feel envious of slimmer women. For my boyfriend to not be able to take his eyes off me. To get into my first bikini :)
