Listen to your body and take your time increasing duration and pace or you will end up injuring yourself. Also as already suggested an eliptical trainer may be more suited for your needs.

Dont give up the food you like just make them an occasional treat in moderation and as long as they fit within your calories allowance you are fine :)) Also if you don't already know complex carbs and protein will keep you full for longer :)

I think people need to use some common sense as well. I too selected 2lbs per week at first and I was given 1200 calories per day. I didn't even make it to day two I was just too hungry. So I upped it to 1500 and I was still going to bed with a rumbling tummy to the point I was getting up at night to eat a spoon of greek…

I had a bad day calories and food choices wise yesterday rather to just give up I am gonna make sure I work out today and rehidrate my body appropriately. It was just one day don't make it the rest of your life. This a new healthier you, keep your good work don't throw it all away.

If it fits within your daily calorie goal why not?

Thank you gonna start doing those right away!

BUMP ALL TRUE!

I find this helps with the pain and it's slowly subsiding. Maybe a couple of more weeks. I am trying to be patient.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply to my post and I would like to apologise for the late response. Today the knee pain isn't as bad although I have been getting cramps on my legs this morning. As soon as the pain subsides I will be starting strenghtening my muscles. How can I tell if I am ready to finally run…
-
Ok i will definitely start doing those strenghtening exercises u have suggested. My muscles are definitely not strong. Im gna wait another week if it doesnt improve i will get an appointment. I wasnt aware about having to strenghten my leg muscles before starting running.

I put on most of my weight after having my second child I'm 5"6 and used to weigh 10.2 stones I am now 14.5st after losing 19lbs in less than 5 weeks, 10lbs I lost by using mfp for the past 20 days. I don't just blame it on the pregnancy I just lost track of how much I was eating. I am size 16-18 and although I look better…

I havent had any fast food so far and I only had one glass of coke since starting on fmp and I measured it to make sure I wasnt miscalculating calories. Things like chips, coke, chocolate etc I only enjoy occasionally and in moderation.

I buy pasta from tesco and it says on the packet that 75g of dry pasta will become 180g of cooked pasta.
-
That is absolute rubbish I went as low as 136lbs and I look really slim at that size for some ppl inc me 130 is just excessive. In my opinion ppl should work towards the weight they feel comfortable in, you have no right to say that unless u get to 130lbs ur a cop out. We are striving for better health and fitness more…

Im 5"6 and 203lbs atm my nxt goal is 187lbs and ideally id want to go bk to 143lbs but this time i want to build muscle mass rather than just be flabby
-
I am 203 lbs and I eat between 1500-1600 and I am losing weight .. Don't make it harder than it needs to be after all it has to be sustainable.

Omg this is so true. When I started using MFP I realised I was always eating to the point where I was feeling stuffed. Now I eat until I feel full and I feel satisfied. It took me about 10 days to get used to listen to my body and my tummy and break the habit of overeating. I also make sure I eat food that keep me full for…
