Believe it or not fresh spinach has a lot of protein. Brown rice and beans are a good source, inexpensive too. And there is always peanut butter.

1 slice of oat bran bread with 1 tbsp of smart balance creamy peanut butter and 8 chocolate chips. Toast the bread first. Gives me protein. The heat from the toasted bread will melt the chocolate chips...satisfying and yummy!

I've heard that your body burns more calories when you drink ice water. We have started eating more beans. Sometimes we sprinkle them over salad, along with kernel corn, etc. I have noticed that this site recommends only 14-15 g. of fiber. Not much room for sweets or treats. If I do eat them, I plan for them. It will be a challenge during the holidays. Overall, I am doing okay with it.
