If it gets me sweaty and my heart pumping... it's exercise. I don't count day-to-day cleaning chores, but yesterday I went all out cleaning my car (in a hurried fashion as it was about to storm) I logged 30 mins. It's all about you and what you normally would do for activities!

I used to bruise like a champ, dieting/exercising or not. When I started regularily getting enough vitamin K and iron (daily multivitamin on top of good eating habits) it was a dramatic change within 30 days. Check with a health care person of course, especially since this is a new thing for you.
