I was started on .25mg. No major problems. Was pretty nauseous with first shot , but did third one tonight, feeling good down 10 lbs

I’m just 1 week in, struggling with energy for high intensity workouts
-
I hope it gets better, today felt awful. My runs this last week felt harder than normal but I could still do it.
-
I’m just starting too,

I have to rely on measurements, waist hips bust, and maybe a fav pair of jeans. Weight loss is hard to see when you see yourself everyday.
-
I use a scale as much as I can for non veggie item or higher calorie veggies ( avocados, potatoes sweet potatoes...) . I don’t weight salad greens or low calorie veggies .

4-6 weeks till snowshoe season!

41 on Friday, stressful year has led to holding on to 25 lbs I need to shed. harder now to loose wt than when I was 20

If you are running on a treadmill, set the incline over 2-4% , my running coach told me lower than 2% and the treadmill is doing the work for you.

Good shoes, good sports bra ( trust me) . And start small, the couch to 5 km is great, don't over train, if it says 3x a week then only do it three times per week. Get a running partner, you are much more likely to get out consistently if some one is waiting for you. And have fun!

I am a 34e ( sometimes F) I wear a Brooks moving comfort Maia. It's basically two bras, underwire to hold me up, and then a compression one to hold me down

ps. I'm more tired when I don't exercise. the first week or two was more draining as my body adjusted to frequent exercise but seriously your body will adjust quick and exercise actually ends up making you feel more energetic and helps with sleep.

You tried MFP before! that is awesome, you are not starting over from zero, you already know how to access it, it's not a strange scary thing. Breaking up with un-health is like leaving a bad relationship, you want to leave, but it will be hard, it will hurt, you will have to give up things and worse of all you will have…

avoid letting your stomach get completely empty, try having one or two crackers as soon as you wake up (before even getting up) , I found nibbling on almonds during the day helped. if you throw up, wait 30 minutes before attempting to put much back in....sips of water frequently avoid chugging a large amount. It usually…

I peeked at your food diary, I only went back a few days. Great job logging :) Your sodium intake on a few of those says was realy high! That could be causing some water retention. Watch your salt, log everything you eat or drink, even when it's not a "great" day, Don't get discouraged.
-
I can add 5-8 lbs in water retention before my period. In addition the the above recommendations to accurately measure all food and drink. Keep hydrated, moderate salt intake, fibre .....

39, turning 40 in summer, my goal is to enter my 40's at my goal weight.
-
Snowshoe trip today, -24C . But great day, 12 km, 900m total ascent.
-
Congrats on 70 days of logging meals! And 17 lbs is fantastic! You have developed some habits that are obviously working, yes you might have more habits to improve but you are doing great keep up the good work

I can speak to my experiences over training ( too fast too far too soon) , and the results.... currently recovering from Achilles' tendinitis. I worry your plan is risky, a 5 is easily manageable 10 km is tough but possible , a half is realy pushing it in my opinion a full marathon is risky. I'm all for big goals, but…

A learn to run 5 km is a great way to start. My advice, go slow when it comes to increasing speed and distance, I've overdone both and have the injuries to prove it, when I have followed a program including rest I have not had injuries. Many places have learn to run groups which can be fun too.

All women have "rolls" when we sit in certain positions, getting rid of uncomfortableness may be more about self acceptance.

Just to see I entered 266 minutes of snowshoeing into mfp, it said 2573 calories, my heart rate monitor said 1696 calories. Mfp and the cardio machines over estimate calories burnt. I use a chest strap heart rate monitor ( polar m400)
-
And are you measuring your burn by your own heart rate monitor or the machine, or mfp's estimate
-
I eat back 1/2 my exercise calories. Except on big days, today 1696 calories burnt snowshoeing, maybe eating back 500
-
I don't fall off the wagon....I run the whole wagon off a cliff. ! I'm starting over again. I had great success with MFP before.

I'd love to read scientifically valid research on that , not being snarky, I like to chalange the knowledge I have with valid evidence ( a book is not evidence unless backed by real reasearch) . I've read a few small studies but with sample groups of 10 people they are not adequate. Eat at a deficit , weight goes down.

Unless you have a diagnosed medical problem, this is a fad diet.

Talk to your dr. Once this bout is resolved see a dietician if you can not prevent recurrences on your own.
