  • It's hard to tell because you don't really have anything listed before yesterday (i clicked a few days and saw nothing. if there is more let us know). But I'm sure of one thing that will get suggested. Eat more calories. I see yesterday was only a little over 1100. There are others who will give much better advice but that…
  • http://www.bhg.com/recipe/chicken/summer-chicken-and-mushroom-pasta/ I made this last night. Was delish :)
  • lol this. I agree! We are human, we are not perfect. I don't think people can always control what they are thinking. If they say something rude or do something rude (to the person offending them) they can control that. But sometimes things just offend you, even if they don't offend someone else. Isn't this a thread for…
  • I can't tell you enough how much I love this thing. It is well worth the money. I won't even pretend that I know how it works lol but it's great. I plug in what I eat here on MFP and I have the accounts synced so the BMF tells me what I burned and gives me a deficit. It is the most amazing thing. I have had it for almost a…
  • I'm only on the end of week 1 so can't comment too much but I know one thing I've read is you should be able to at least walk a 5k before attempting.
  • It uses an accelerometer on your phone for indoor runs. No chip needed there either. I'm not sure what it is needed for, but I don't have one lol
  • has anyone tried the missions for the nikefuel?
  • added you guys :) i'm pretty sure my username on there is annebaum but i know the email is xfatedl0vex@aol.com so you can search me either way :)
  • i can't find my username anywhere but i think it's annebaum lol i'm just getting started with running using the c25k program but i use the nike + anyway to log my walks too to see if i can get hem faster. would love to have some friends on there :)
  • Agreed. Those things are so inaccurate it's ridiculous. When I went by them I thought I was burning around 550-600 calories in an hour walking on the treadmill (with a decent incline) but both the hrm monitor i used to use and the bodymedia fit i currently use show me that is almost DOUBLE what i actually burn. As for the…
  • Boxing sitting down long enough sure can get you sweating lol
  • Lots of great ideas. Doesn't sound like anyone eats for the workouts the day before. I don't always know what my workouts are going to be in a day. I seem to have a pretty good average of calorie burns in a day according to my report though. Sometimes I love that losing weight can be confusing, because it keeps it from…
  • Good deal. Then I guess I don't really "need" a rest day. I don't do much high intensity stuff. The most I do is little bouts of jogging as I've just started the cto5k program but of course that is only 3 days a week. I just read so much about rest days I was starting to think I should be taking one. Thanks guys :)
  • awesome job! i love seeing these success stories. it's very motivating
  • I log my food in mfp because the database is so much better, but in terms of a deficit i use BML (i have the accounts linked, as you do). I like to have the same deficit each day. So rather than eat 1800 every day and my calorie burn varies i want the deficit to stay the same and the calories eaten vary (tho of course in a…
  • I've been doing great with stuff outside MFP but slacking on reading the forums lol I'll go make my diary public right now :)
  • I tried the hrm. It was ok. But once I got the BML i fell in LOVE. It has helped me so much and is really accurate. I would never use anything else.
  • the shin splints sounds likely. it's not a muscle pain. and it bothers me most the first few minutes after i've been sitting on my butt lol if it was serious i'm sure i couldn't walk almost 8 miles. hoping it goes away soon. otherwise my option is to just never stop moving lol
  • bump. what could cause pain only after being restful? once i get moving i'm good. walked almost 8 miles today (stopped at one place for my husband to eat and then another for me to eat). only time i felt pain was for the first few min after we had been sitting down for a while. so weird
  • I'll be one of the few to say I totally understand what you are going through. When I first started my journey I found it VERY hard to hit 1200 calories. Most days it was between 1000-1100. And my personal reason for that was the switch in WHAT foods I was eating. Obviously being over 100lbs overweight I was not having…
  • Nice walk girl! :) Yes, definitely log your food. It has helped me SO much since I started doing it. Never give up :)
  • just figured removing grease has to remove calories lol but i think erring on the side of caution is always good.
  • Today was day 4 for me but we can call it a trial period if ya want lol And I'll start officially on the 1st. I'm just glad to have an accountability group! Always makes it a bit easier than doing it on your own.
  • Get those oreos out of the house :) It's why I don't keep junk food here, aside from the fact no one needs it. You can do this :) The sleep thing is obviously beyond your control but I know you can drink more water. I"m rooting for ya :)
  • I love love LOVE my bodymedia and aside from it being tested to be at least 90% accurate, I agree! lol Granted I've only tested it one full week but it worked for me. I took the calorie deficit for a week and added it together and divided by 3500 and it was only like .3 lbs off from what I predicted I would lose and what I…
  • I started it the other day too. Today is day 3. Never tried it before but I'm enjoying it so far. I have to modify the aerobics a little because of bad knees but doing pretty good on the other stuff.
  • that's the one :)
  • It says it is view only. I want to join :)
