"Sure one is made by chemicals and one isn't, but nutritionally, for purposes of reducing glucose, the are the same" If the original poster is concerned about her sugar intake for the sole purpose of reducing glucose, then I suppose I would agree they are the same. However, I think it's more likely she's frustrated at…

In terms of calories, yes. In almost every other way, they are not the same.

"Sgar from fruits and sugar from sweets is the say. Its all converts straight to glucose. so dont let anyone tell you natural sugar is any better than chocolate. BUT the reason we eat fruits instead of the chocolate bar is because fruit is loaded with good stuff too! like vitamins and fiber :] so enjoy your fruit! but just…

Here are some links that address sugar in raw fruit: http://www.diabeticlivingonline.com/expert-qa/nutrition/is-the-sugar-in-raw-fruit-ok/ http://www.fitsugar.com/OK-Eat-Plenty-Fruit-Worry-About-Fructose-2874911 So, again: refined sugars are not awesome and should be consumed in moderation, but the fructose in fruit is not…

I do not worry about sugar from naturally occurring sources. IMO, it shouldn't be lumped in with refined sugar counts. If it comes from fruit, unless you're racking up exorbitant numbers, I really wouldn't be concerned with your numbers.

Sugar will make you crave sugar. It sucks really, really hard, but it is what it is. I am a MAJOR sugar addict, and not only does sugar affect me physically by making me feel unfulfilled and in need of MORE sweet stuff as well as hungry even when I'm not, it also affects me mentally in the form of mood swings. This isn't…

I haaaaaate raw carrots but I LOVE me some hummus. I never thought to try it with pretzels. I will give that a shot. I have a lot of yogurt in the fridge, too, so I can maybe try those two things tomorrow and see if I feel better. I swear, I sometimes feel like losing weight and getting fit would be so much easier if I…

This looks absolutely delicious. I think I might try it for dinner tonight, thanks for sharing it!

This is my observation, too. If I have a Diet Coke or Diet Dr. Pepper (and I used to drink them ALL.THE.TIME.) I crave sugar badly, and it also leaves me feeling much hungrier than if I have even an iced tea sweetened with agave nectar or even one pack of Sweet n Low. Sugar is bad news, even (and maybe especially)…

I personally did not like the weird aftertaste Truvia had. I don't drink coffee, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but I tried it in my tea and didn't care for it. Agave Nectar and/or raw sugar has been the best bet for me in replacing refined sugar, but I'm not sure you're looking for a replacement for white…

You look great! I'll bet you see an even bigger change now that you're exercising.
