  • I love the iPhone app. It is so convenient and handy to record your food and exercise. I also use it often just to look up food that I am unsure about - this is really good if you are considering a stop at a fast food place (just type in the name of the resturant).
  • Hi!! Welcome!!
  • Just think for a moment how long it took you to gain the extra weight and realize it is not all going to come off right away. I REALLY wish it could - I would love to be one of those people losing 5 lbs a week, but slow and steady is actually better and will have longer lasting results. Stick with the diet and exercise and…
  • good advice from all - if you do eat (and I am not too late) fix LOTS of veggies - the green ones - for a filling meal with fewer calories - 2 cups broccoli = 60 calories, same with spinach and I am sure many others. Yesterday I had a 500 calorie dinner which consisted of 2 cups broccoli, 1 cup spinach, 8 oz Laura's Lean…
  • I was wanting to try the same thing and happened to step in the "health foods" section at my local Kroger on Sunday. They had sale going on a 8 oz protein drink by Mix 1. There were several flavors - mixed berry, blueberry, tangerine, mango. The normal price is 1.99 per bottle, but they were on sale at 8 for $10. I wanted…
  • Well believe your wife!! I have been here for 2 weeks and it is a great place to track your goals and your food consumption and exercise. I also have the iPhone app which is very convenient.

  • I am glad my name isn't Tom....
  • A fresco style taco is actually not too bad. :)
  • Sorry to hear about the tough week. Just a thought - exercise will help reduce your stress, so if you can manage to get back into it, it may help you feel less stressed and therefore less eating. Hope you have a better weekend.

  • I agree that you should find a store that specifically caters to runners (not just a sporting good store). It may cost you a little more, but you will probably get the best fit and comfort for your feet. Best wishes on the run!!
  • The salt content probably varies based on the flavoring. I have seen Savory, Traditional, Lemon Pepper, BBQ, Buttery Garlic and Italian. Most of the flavoring seems to be on the skin though so if you are taking it off, then you are probably okay.
  • I have always heard that nuts and legumes (beans?) are higher in protein. Also what about soy? I think it is high in protein and provides the good fats.
  • 100 calorie dinner? How about Lettuce? I had a Lean Cuisine Beef Tips Portabello - it has only 160 cals. Also a fat free yogurt is less than 100 calories, but not very filling.
  • It is human nature to give in to these desires now and then. What matters most is your decision to keep with it!! As you do, you will be more disciplined and have greater control. Whenever I think about eating something REALLY bad, I just need to remind myself that I will be entering it on here and that helps me make…
  • Congrats on re-committing to your weight loss and the success so far!!
  • Are you still losing weight? If you are, then don't worry about it. If not, then you need to figure out to burn more calories. My idea would be greater intensity (speed) or longer period of time or try a different exercise.
  • He is a shallow jerk. Good thing you found out right away.

  • At this point is your relationship is a good time to find your voice. He will love and respect you. Keep up the good work!!!!
  • Wow Michelle - I would say that you do need to take some time for yourself - I am sure you need it. I have been on this site for 2 weeks now. I am 47 and looking to lose around 40 lbs. Check the Community tab for forums on recipes and encouragement etc..
  • Have you tried cutting the sugar in half or using fat free yogurt?
  • I guess I don't understand either your post or Momma2four's reply. Why don't you ladies just tell your men in a nice way how much you appreciate their support and help, but you need to work this out in your own way as you did in the past. You have loving men who are wanting to help - there are many women who would love to…
  • Have you asked a pharmacist?
  • Awesome - you look 10 years (or more) younger too!!
