  • The best advice I can give you is to log EVERYTHING, regardless whether you go over or not. Set small goals. I set mine at 10 lb increments. Change the mindset. This is not a diet; it is a lifestyle change. I am 56 yo and I began this journey on January 17, 2013 at 5'3" 215 lbs and have lost 65 pounds. Don't give up on…
  • The best app I have found for a pedometer is Runtastic Pro. It's very accurate; only cost .99 or a 1.99 (can't remember). But it also syncs with MFP. I use it all the time.
  • Hey Makhonyola, I feel your pain. I think I have the exercise part down pretty well (though I still need to be motivated), but I really struggle with getting my diet right. I've learned to eat a lot of healthy foods that I once would not have touched, but I still find myself snacking when I'm bored. I HATE that. I wish you…
  • Hi, I'm Connie and I've been using MFP since April 2013 and have lost 62 pounds. This site has been absolutely fabulous and quite motivational. This will also be my first MFP challenge. In May 2013 I started taking a swim class at the university here. When I first beganI could not swim the length of the pool without being…
  • Starting Weight: 215 (Jan 17, 2013) Challenge Start Weight: 153 40 Week Goal Weight: 125
  • Ten pound increments is the way to go. That way it is not overwhelming. I started exactly one year ago today (1/17/13) with 100 to lose. I set my goals at 10 lbs and have lost 60 so far. Good luck to all of you. You can do this. Start by getting moving and logging what you eat.
  • I weighed this morning and was up 2.5 lbs since Dec. 23rd. I'm not surprised as I over-indulged during the holidays. Not to mention the lack of exercise. It really makes me mad at myself; but it's the new year and I'm ready to get it going again. I've worked too hard for the past 12 months and don't want to ruin it now.
  • I use a pedometer by Runtastic on my android phone. It is awesome. It was only like .99 cents and keeps track of the distance that I walk, time, speed and calories burned. It's very simple to use once you figure out what your stride is.
  • When I started this lifestyle change I was told to eat back at least half my exercise calories. This will give me the fuel I need to continue my get fit program. It also allows me to not deprive myself of anything. I've been much more conscientous about what I eat and what I need to fuel my body. I am averaging 1.5 to 2…
  • Please tell me . . . . where do you find PB2?
